I spent many years living between Titusville, Rockledge, and Merritt Island. I'm very familiar with the history of the area. Of all the places tourists come to visit, Ashley's is one of the most underrated. Even many locals don't know about it. It's a ridiculously beautiful place you wouldn't immediately expect to have such a dark history. But that's part of what makes it so spooky, too. You get settled in, it's nice and relaxing, and then suddenly something totally unexpected or bizarre happens. My friend and I had a rather banal experience that is easily explained away, We were chatting over drinks when someone walked right up to our table. We were engaged in our conversation and weren't expecting anyone to join us. So we finished our sentence, laughed, and when we turned to acknowledge the person that walked up to us, there was no one there. We giggled at the awkward feeling because we both felt and saw out of the corner of our eyes a young woman walk right up to our table. After the initial giggle, we both got chilly and decided to put on our sweaters figuring it was the air conditioner. It wasn't until after our visit, some days later we were told the place was haunted.
I used to work at a restaurant with a ghost. It was the ghost of the founder’s father, an old Italian man who moved to the town with his family in the early 20th century. His name was Pops, he used to always sit at the same table in the dining room and drink wine before he died, and we’ve had employees and customers report seeing his ghost walking from the bathroom across the dining room to his table. He especially liked to mess with the doors and lights upstairs in the apartment above the restaurant, where he lived until his death.
Thank you to the amazing top 5s team. I love getting to see the wonderful work everyone does and the effort put into production are astounding. Thank you!
Wow. I currently live just around the corner from the Goodna cemetery. I've walk past there a few times as at night and it's been pretty spooky vibe. There is a bit of bush on the other side of the road to it and there is no streetlights or footpath so you have to walk past that section in the dark with the cemetery on one side and this pitch black piece of bush thats like an abyss. Has tested my nerves a few times. I just put my eyes forward and power walk to the safety of the light after you pass the cemetery
Thank you for including Livingston! I live there not too far from bangor hospital actually and i was also born in that hospital. Not a wonderful place to live but some nice rural areas surrounding it :).

Ha I am enjoying the eye candy of all these beautiful places so much I keep forgetting to listen to the ghost stories about them. Just give me the tickets--I will spend any number of blissful days and nights in these places!!! Okay maybe not the abandoned asylum, but I'll take a walking tour! EDIT: 'The Jacket' was a coooool movie, and based on a true story! Not the supernatural element, but about mentally ill patients receiving the sick treatment of drugging + stashing inside a morgue drawer with full body restraints.
Toowong cemetery is one of the most spooky places I have ever seen my uncle used to job around the grounds and he would tell us story’s of all the weird people he met never said anything about ghost though
@@DanSwerdlove-wb5jl yeah it’s pretty much next to Brisbane city it’s self but it’s a very old place lots of history and and the old parts of the Cemetery has fallen into disrepair what makes it even more spooky lol but it’s an amazing place massive place as well! Maybe I should make a video of me walking through at night. I’m don’t necessarily believe in ghost but it would still be pretty interesting and spooky.
Grew up in Brisbane. Bogo Rd is a deeply disturbing place, fertile grounds for paranormal investigation. Toowong cemetery, is creepy, take it from someone who thought it fun to listen to metal and smoke up there with his mates all night and no longer considers it a good idea. Didn't sense anything amiss at Goodna

7:30 I found it strange how the NSW State Government proclaimed Goodna a cemetery, considering it is in the State of Queensland, not New South Wales... until I looked up that the Queensland didn't become a State until 1879. Interesting!
Ah sorry guys, I’m no longer your neighbour! I’m from Liverpool, but live near Blackpool now. I’m a lorry driver and at the time of the original comment I was delivering to the Tesco warehouse in Livingston. I’m now just south of Edinburgh en route to Hawick. Thanks for having me😂. Probably because I can still appreciate a good ghost story even though I don’t believe in them, I enjoy watching the effort people put in trying to fool all of us. Unfortunately some people buy into it. I’m also an atheist, does that mean I’m not allowed to visit beautiful cathedrals to appreciate their architecture?
Yes - of course there are spirits around. Some houses, work places, anywhere really. If you read true story ghost books, there's a lot of info there. I grew up in a haunted house. When my parents bought it, it was a deceased estate. The previous owner, a man living alone, had died in there. He was found dead 3 days later. We would hear someone walking up & down the hallway at night. My mum thought it was me, and I thought it was her, but it wasn't either of us. Also when I was 17 years old, I would always sit up in bed, reading some books before going to sleep. I would hear CLAWS, like those of a large animal scratching behind my bed headboard. I'd jump out of bed, look behind the bed, but of course there was nothing. As a little girl, I saw the Shadow Man leaning against my open bedroom door. What frightened me the most, was when I had to walk to my car at the end of my big back yard, and I felt REAL TERROR. I was working night shift as a security guard. Soon after, I just parked my car in the street to avoid that long walk in the garden path so late at night. I knew I wasn't alone there. You better believe it. Sooner or later, we will all see a ghost at some point. That's for sure. I wish I never saw/heard or encountered a ghost. It's the most TERRIFYING experience in anyone's life.
I used to be homeless with my kids dad, bc we got evicted (he stopped paying our rent) anyway we used to sleep in various places in Philly. Washington square Park being one of them if the weather was nice. But I always hated it there, it really freaked me out. I didn't see a ghost but I just couldn't relax and my head was on a swivel. It wasn't bc of ppl bc it was pretty much empty and plus my kids dad was 6'2 and 210pds.
I had someone else pick my hometown in another episode. Which surprised me, since while we may not be a small town, we’re also not exactly a popular city. I guess my point is it’ll probably happen sooner than you think.

There's a haunted hotel, and there have been several drownings over the years, as the town borders the Mississippi River. Thank you!! Love your videos!

Abandoned asylums are definitely among the most chilling because of stuff that went on inside them when they were open.
