There's a part of North Adams as you get closer to Williamstown that was developed more recently and has a ton of great ranch houses if single story living is what you're looking for. College ave is a good example!

If you encourage more people to move there though, then youre gonna lose what built the community. These new people coming here, not all of them are gonna be invested. Theyll just leave when they get sick of it after they make their money.
