But I do the daily challenges every day (have it on Switch so only got it earlier this month) and that’s enough to buy a new board so sure I won’t leave it on all the time. I’m constantly adjusting settings based on what I’m skating so it will be cool to have the option to break my board. I think the animation is cool then you can just keep breaking the blank decks for fun.
The best thing to happen with the game recently is the huge amount of optimization they did for switch version. Means it actually runs really well on steam deck now! Just needs cloud saves next.
Although admittedly this is a weird update I just love it when I open the game and see a new thing, I love that I've picked this game up while it's constantly evolving still really hoping for some kind of transition update, doesn't have to be perfect straight away I just wish it was better

Loving the updates ….but I still need full creative control as far as customization to your character facial feature wise and hair wise maybe add a few beard styles in there and a actual facescan/face creation so u can have more individualism to your character for them to stand out more
Unfortunately, Creature hiring a decent amount of new devs seems like it is not going to happen anytime soon. I asked specifically about that to them in Insta and they said that finding the "right people takes time." And sure, that may be true, but on their website under their hirings, they aren't even hiring for animations, map design, or the other things a majority of the player base is actually asking for. They said that money/funding is not the issue, however I (from an outside perspective) disagree. Finding the right people isn't really the issue, but they're not actively making strides to get good people on the team. Not expanding their studio personnel is a major issue that they refuse to acknowledge. It also is a HUGE issue that this game is a "1.0" state with fucking experimental features not only still in the game, but they're STILL ADDING MORE EXPERIMENTAL FEATURES. This game is a very niche game, so having a vast consistently growing player base probably isn't going to happen.
I wish they will add a feature to "Add to favorites" a spot. I don't memorize the maps yet and there are some spots I really want to get back to but I don't remember where.
I now know you work at session JL so here are somethings I want you to tell Creature studio - to add more updates to switch - to add throwdowns -to update walk/run animation -and to add hair customization
honestly i really like the goofy costumes, idk why it gives me like a skate 3 dead rising 3 funny videogame vibe that we've all been missing for a long time. Really hope they add more cool clothes into the game as well, its drip or drown
I think if be like small backpack in game or just like something to have extra 3 boards that u can equipment after broke board. And just u can equipment like this blank boards but with ur board from shop/appartament. it be will be nice

But it’s so rewarding 👌🏼 and now I’m doing double hippy hard flip 360’s at the Brooklyn Banks 10 stair and I skated that spot IRL back in 2011 (but wasn’t doing any tricks close to that haha) it’s rad AF to skate places in a video game I’ve skated IRL

I hope this was all in Skate. Breaking boards, wheel flat spots, trucks loosening, wear over time: griptape, board, wheels, rubbers, trucks, shoes. The limits are endless!

It's so weird that the catch sounds are louder with auto catch. I guess they expect people to hear their stick movement as the catch sound with manual catch? Or maybe it's just a bug lol. Would have preferred literally nothing over the Liquid Death costume, but that's just me. Someone will like it, and that's cool. When you break your board, does it replace it with a deck of similar width, or does it just replace it with an 8? Also, not that it happens often, but it'd be cool if they added truck cracking/breaking as they continue to work on board breaking. Also Pizza
Instead of the blank I wish it you could also get a board from your apartment/one you already have purchased and when those run out then youd just get blanks
I know how it works and that it can work.. what I mean is, it has a glitch where you will continuously fall if you try to get back on your board after respawning. Also since Big drop landing input and Powerslide / Liptrick setup are the exact same, you will occasionally get a weird slip when you go to land a big drop. Ever since it was added a long time ago, it had never been without annoying issues, so I just leave it off
i still use manny catch. but i will say. i notice Auto catches animations for catching and flips look cleaner than manual catch.. to me at least.. but manual catch is way more fun. and aaahhhhh the replacement blanks CAN break.. for some reason, the blanks have yet to break for me... at all.. ever.. lol. so obv we see height will break the board easy or asap. buut i read if you just normal skating. breaking is determined on how worn the board is. height of drops (still but it will decrease the more worn the board the smaller the drop you can do b4 it breaks. also landing position. and im so glad they made it that way and not random like the mod was and the board would break after like every trick just cause lol oh.. and PIZZA! lol 🍕🍕

I’m going to be remaking all the historical challenges videos but I’m waiting till Creā-ture gets around to fixing the ones I told them weren’t working properly. There are no “broken” ones, just hard to get to register for the wrong reasons
JL Nightmare, record a new double grind tutorial, please! After 1.0 version, double grind got harder, especially tail slide to nose slide, nose slide to tail slide and 5-0 flip to nose grind.
They work exactly like they always have. Nothing really changed, could be the stats you use now since those do feel slightly different than they used to.

it was a feature added in by the devs during early access But it was never controls they wanted to have in the game since it has a lot of limitations for what they want the player to do. So Legacy controls were removed and won’t be back. They did give people the option to use Front foot back foot input and have Left stick turning with those inputs so it’s easier for Skate players to learn the game

I want new clothes new boards and more customization with this update still miss the side Ollie feature being taken away I loved side scooping on a grind I think that was an error getting rid of that

Oh I know how it works and that it can work.. the issue is a bug that causes you to keep falling when you try to get back on your board… also having it activate Powerslide when you land sometimes
@@JLNightmare The caveman bug is fixed, right? 50 50 or actually powerslide inputs prevent the right animation to trigger. It does the powerslide animation (slightly bending the knee). If they reversed the input like when catching with both feet, it would be easier to understand and won't conflict with powerslide/lip, and possibly trigger the right animation. And, making it true stance with catching both feet would be easier to apply. Pizza? don't tell me next brand is going to be Pizza!!!! 🍕🍕🍕
Ever since they confirmed that multiplayer will never happen I’ve totally lost my love for this game. I can’t stand being alone after the 100s of hours I’ve already put into it. Skateboarding is about the community and culture of skating, without that, this game just falls flat. Not to mention seeing some of the stupid shit they are spending time on instead of actually making the game better or continuing to try to bring at least a coop free skate into the game is just disappointing
I genuinely like Session and do play it a lot even off camera. In my videos and on social media I try to share my honest opinion about the current state of the game and express that I’m a bit disappointed in the 1.0 we ended up getting… BUT that doesn’t mean I don’t like the game. I wouldn’t be posting Session videos if I disliked it to its core.
Hey man when the new update came out my game couldnt start so I had to delete my mods and the mod manager, I just wanted to ask you if i download the mod manager and everything else again if it will work or it will just tell me the same error ?
Console version is a few builds behind PC so some items were mission. But the devs haven’t given any info on Cole since it wasn’t even supposed to be known (they accidentally left in the Cold DLC missions but then removed them)

You can if you crouch / uncrouch with back foot stick to pump. Also boosting Pumping Impulse Multiplier in advanced settings helps a lot

I hope they add a board drop when running. It kind of takes you out of the moment when the board floats out of your hands onto your feet.

I think there is a glitch on switch because on half cab flips, fakie flips and Nellie frontside flips there is a catch sound

Stalls are already possible with the liptricks enabled in experimental. They don't look all that good most of the time but definitely possible

Big drop does work, you need to position your feet over the bolts as you land by pushing your left stick up a bit and the right one down

Do you skate left/right or front foot/back foot? If front/back you may be having issues due to the new stick turning. Try left/right instead.

Yes, you just let go of both inputs then quickly input the direction you want with back or front foot before you flick the other foot

No animations have been changed because they don’t have an animator at the moment (they haven’t had one since mid 2022)

Ever since they confirmed that multiplayer will never happen I’ve totally lost my love for this game. I can’t stand being alone after the 100s of hours I’ve already put into it. Skateboarding is about the community and culture of skating, without that, this game just falls flat. Not to mention seeing some of the stupid shit they are spending time on instead of actually making the game better or continuing to try to bring at least a coop free skate into the game is just disappointing

I genuinely like Session and do play it a lot even off camera. In my videos and on social media I try to share my honest opinion about the current state of the game and express that I’m a bit disappointed in the 1.0 we ended up getting… BUT that doesn’t mean I don’t like the game. I wouldn’t be posting Session videos if I disliked it to its core.

Hey man when the new update came out my game couldnt start so I had to delete my mods and the mod manager, I just wanted to ask you if i download the mod manager and everything else again if it will work or it will just tell me the same error ?

Console version is a few builds behind PC so some items were mission. But the devs haven’t given any info on Cole since it wasn’t even supposed to be known (they accidentally left in the Cold DLC missions but then removed them)
