Cool demo! I was wondering where the MIDI sync comes in, then it occurred that once you have the Kastle Drum voltage-synced to the Keystep, you can then MIDI-sync the Keystep to whatever and it should still trigger the K.Drum. Check out Chris Lody's YT channel, he did some similar experimenting syncing up the K.Drum to the Korg SQ-1.
Great idea, but unfortunately it doesn't work. I tried with the Keystep 32, but nothing, the kastle only produces sporadic sounds, not usable. What a pity...
