Your videos have motivated me to pick up my first knit shawl again after putting it in time out after 43 attempts,(a beginner knitter)- YES, 43 attempts. 🥴thank you so much .your so relaxed at the work that it helped me to slow down and really read my knitting 😁🎉🧶
Wow amazing! I love all the yarn intro, your studio is like a candy store for me. You’re so inspirational! Love the shawl too and all the great tips!! 💜
Hello from Australia, Thank you for your great designs and patterns I find them an inspiration. I am about the begin the Curvette Shawl (my kit is has just been dispatched for your shop), I would like to know how you suggest to carry Colour B up the side of the I Cord edge. I don't have much experience with I cord but I love it. Thak you in in advance.
Looks dreamy. This shawl would be wonderful where I live. Is there a yarn with a similar feel n drape to mohair? (Can’t use mohair -weird allergy even with the best yarns.) I don’t want to lose that beautiful flow you have achieved with this pattern. Thanks as always, Stephen!
Thank you, Stephen, for suggesting the Suri alpaca instead of the mohair for those of us with allergies. Looking forward to making this in the near future!
I´d go for Cotton / Silk / Linen yarn. Acrylic looks "cheap", especially after washing, in my opinion. If you´re going to spend hours and hours on this, it should be a good quality and something that stays beautiful for a long time.
@@snowfall7557 first not all acrylic looks cheap 2) I think your comment was a bit insensitive. When I first started knitting all I could afford was acrylic yarns. Yes some were as you called them cheap. But it was all I could afford and since I wasn't sure how long I would stick with knitting it was the best move. After sticking with it I started looking at better yarns and have moved up to indie dyers. I enjoy knitting with both high quality and good quality yarns. Never presume you know what is best for someone else.
I'm not sure I've ever seen Stephen say "absolutely no, don't do that!" - it would probably sound more like "Woo, yes go crazy!" And that's what I love with the designs and patterns from Stephen
Would you ever crochet? I have been crocheting for a few years (not really well, but I'm good doing simple stitches) so even though I dont knit (yet) but I still like yr content and yr sharing 👍👍🥰
Mr. Stephen West so far I like the Curvette Shawl I don't do down load, and I don't use pay pal, or cash app. Sorry I can't subscribe to your channel . I would like to order the Curvette Shawl. I won't you to mail it to me either picture of shawl the one with silver and gold glitter I think .iam will to mail you the money

The purple orange combo one gives hocus pocus vibes
Thanks for mentioning using the fingering instead of the mohair. I am very allergic to mohair
I love it!

Try a lace weight suri alpaca! That yarn is very soft and fluffy. We have one at Stephen & Penelope from CaMaRose called Midnatssol

Trop beau 😘
How do you start the curvette shawl? How many stitches do you cast on? Do you knit 3, yo, knit 3, yo, knit 3?
Que buen talento, que lindo todo lo que tejes
Beautiful shawl and love the colors. I'm allergic to wool. If I use acrylic, do you think it will have a similar flow?
Could you find fingering cotton? I would think that would be a good substitute
CaMaRose Pimabomuld is a lovely soft fingering weight cotton that I think would substitute nicely.

Im making a shawl with Coboo it's cotton/bamboo I'm loving how soft and silky and puddly it's turning out... i'm crocheting it with a size G hook

SOS GRANDIOSO, TE MANDO UN GRAN BESO Y ABRAZO, DESDE BUENOS AIRES ARGENTINA,
Hi could I use my stash for this
Do you have a book with yours shawls?
I waved back!! = )
Is it possible to substitute mohair with suri alpaca?
As long as it's lace weight you should be able to substitute it.
Absolutely!

Verstehe leider nichts
Bummer that it's not a crochet pattern for those of us who don't know how to knit.
