Technically Asriel never matched Chara. See In the game Asriel rejected Chara's wish to kill the humans, Which led to him Dying. In Chara's eyes He betrayed her. Comparing her to lisa we see they have a lot more in common with genocide and they both can learn more from each other and understand.
Chara killed soft monsters and died a lot, buddy destroyed several badass humans, my point has been made, along with the fact that joy is stupid powerful and buddy only used it ONCE in the fight against chara which actually killed chara in the end.
It's nice to see that despite everything she's been through, all that savagery and ruthlessness, Buddy still thinks that not everyone deserves to die, only the bad ones.
@Roman Francis Frisk vs Buddy would be interesting, though my bets are on Frisk, especially Endertale since that Frisk has both the Chara's hate(if Chara takes over)and has also some magic.
I hope someone does a mod of this series tbh. I'm happy to see Lisa get some love with the undertale community considering undertale stole it's thunder.

I just want to take a minute to appreciate both the dynamic between Buddy and Chara and the arcs you have chosen for them. It would be so easy to just stick them together and have them fight things, but you obviously went the extra way in writing them as if they’re actually in this situation and learning from it. I feel like Chara can change, and that Buddy can learn to trust. I feel their chemistry and the fact that they’re a team working towards a common goal. They’re antiheroes when most would just settle for them being basically villains. Good job to whoever wrote the story as well as the people who are working on animation. Keep up the good work!

How to say it guys? This has been by far the best Interlopers chapter so far. I just saw it for the third time in a row and I still have tears, and that is that the emotional meaning that Chara's situation with hate entails is something that many of us as spectators can really identify with. In short, both characters (Chara and Buddy) are worked in an impeccable way. How Buddy helps Chara fight with himself makes us think: how many things have they both gone through? What is the real reason that the protagonists of Interlopers cling so much affection to each other as the story progresses? Really, congratulations to everyone for your incredible project. I'm sure that we all have very high expectations since it started, and until now all have been met and even exceeded. Thank you for having created something so beautiful for the eyes of the world. I have to say, this is one of the best crossovers I've seen. The character building that is Chara's and Buddy's partnership is so amazing, I truly feel like they're a force to be wreaked with.
This is very well done, props to all the animators! I especially like how Buddy possesses a lot of Brad's abilities like Armstrong style and fireballs, her cannon skill set was pretty bland. I also really like how well these two characters blend together, and I love watching them interact with each other. They're very similar in many ways, they're both powerful harbingers of doom, Buddy brings a slow end to the rest of Olathe, and Chara pretty much deletes the entire worlds timeline, so of course they're equally matched, they're what brings the end to two great rpgs. I love this series a lot, all of you are doing a really good job with this, keep up the good work!

A great series and I do believe this one is the best so far. Actual character development! It’s great, plus good fight scenes as well, and not Chara doesn’t look weak compared to buddy.
