Hey mr reviewer teacher. I have a question for u on the wide view camera on both phones on this video review vs the LG V30 or LG V40. Which one is better and why did it take smasung and apple so long to catch up to LG in this one area
I actually like the S10e's approach - as mine replaces a well-used, daily-driver-for-years, Standard Galaxy S7 that with the exception of the actual screen itself, takes up the exact same footprint as the S10e, and I'm getting a whole lot more features, functionality, and storage as well! I plan on using this newer one as a sole daily driver as well, and I have ALWAYS owned small smartphones!
S10e is on par with iPhone XS, size-wise and specs-wise. iPhone XR is an overpriced piece of junk. Imagine buying a 750-dollar phone with 720p 326ppi screen in 2019.
When I first saw the S10e, it looked like what the original full screen iPod prototype renders looked like from over 10 years ago. Just all screen (with the notch hidden with the right wallpaper), it was a really cool first impression! I got mine when I picked up the 2018 12.9" iPad Pro (the iPad too looked like the original renders for what was supposed to the the Apple Slate). Both of these devices made me smile like an idiot the first time I saw and used them in person at the store. First time tech has done that to me since the original iPhone came out.

I know this is an old video but I have to give you props for a channel finally mentioning the lifestyle. There isn’t enough RAM and Screen Resolution Samsung can offer for most of us to change when we own a MAC, Apple Watch, AirPods, etc. I’ve tried, I was intrigued by the Note 8 and gave it a shot only to sell it for a loss on eBay because it just didn’t fit with all my Apple products.
Just switched from S10E to XR. Im not into apple ecosystem but battery life of XR is just amazing. I can use it heavily for 1.5 days on a single charge which was not possible for S10E. Samsung puts lot of gimmicky stuff in their phones to lure the customers but if you want to use a phone as a phone then XR do just that perfectly. XR’s hardware may be inferior to S10e but no way XR is slower than S10e. As i used both, i dont find any difference in their performance and display. Plus XR have more longevity than S10e for sure in terms of software support.
iPhone hands down. Much easier to use, better support for much longer time, 10S has too many redundant settings that interfere with one another, homescreen too cluttered with notes. and those cameras, too confusing. Just to name a few.
That's good for you Arvind, who the hell said anything about tinkering? I don't tinker or care that you are a software engineer. Means nothing to me bro.
The XR is more accurate in displaying colors than the 10e. XR has a bigger displays and better battery life, while 10e has ultra wide camera and a sd card reader. This video is very 10e bias. OLED isn’t necessarily better than LCD, even if it has a higher resolution. I would much rather have a bigger more accurate picture than anything else.
Please talk about Samsung default/stock apps. Are they good for productivity? Do messages, mail and calendar integrate? Is the browser any good? Opening attachments properly or clunky disjointed mess - these are the things people with jobs want to know. I don't sit and take pictures all day or play games.
Seriously...... The s10e is the better buy? If you want to wait forever for updates, horrible battery life and a phone that loses is resale value immediately after you buy it then go for it 🤔😂🤣. Samsung appreciates taking you money until the release the s11, s12, s13...... and it’s the same old cliche. Mock Apple as you will but I look at the iPhone as a long term investment with support for many years and you just don’t get that with Samsung period!
For future reference I would recommend against directly comparing specifications of iPhones to other Android phones. Especially with RAM numbers, iOS treats RAM much differently and in practical comparison videos, you can see that Apple gets more out of 3GB than Samsung and other OEMs can get out of 6GB. Though metrics like screen resolution and storage sizes are fair game.

I like where android is heading. But for someone who uses iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and HomePod. It doesn’t really matter if competitions has better value or not, most would rather stick with older/cheaper iPhone with less features.

It really comes down to which UI you prefer, I prefer android because it's all I have ever known, but I can see why people would like IOS too. Why do people get so protective?
S10e is a dense load of flagship specs.. While XR is a diluted/degraded version of iOS flagships.. I will prefer to go for the full package Samsung s10e than a mediocre screen XR
Unfortunately no TH-camr highlights the benefits of LCD over OLED that it doesn’t burn in within time as well as eyes get less tired. Furthermore, only few TH-camrs highlight the fact that iPhones get up to 6 years of latest OS support. And overall Apple products’ prices depreciate way slower than any other’s products, which lets you reselling them at a much higher value. I agree that in a short term s10e is a better value but not in a long term.
How long is "long term" in reality? People usually upgrade after 3 years which is the support galaxy has. Also, how long 'til burn-in shows up on an OLED? I think it's the time when people normally upgrade anyway at the said 3 yrs mark. About phone selling, I don't sell my phone after about 3 yrs cause I know it's better to keep it than get just a meager amount given the years whether iPhone or Android. Of course selling is considered when you upgrade every year. Do you?
dreistheman in the UK we only get an Exynos and no way am I paying more than the Snapdragon is in the US. It is a far inferior SOC and when some carriers are selling the P30 effectively at £0 on a two year contract then that is an easy choice. With Huawei pushing hard into Europe due to the US political posturing there is far more value in the p30 over a s10e. I do not see an iPhone XR as competition to the s10e, two different groups, especially in the UK where carriers give great deals so the price of the XS compared to the s10e is not significant. The p30 is much more important as a rival to the s10e than an iPhone, especially outside the US where we are seemingly less fandom like to two or three OEMs.
@@andyH_England Wow 0 euro eh? A pretty compelling deal indeed. P30/pro is more for the s10/+ duo, how's the deal on the latter one there? Also I haven't really heard praise on EMUI ever since and also there's no headphone jack unfortunately 😐

You are seriously ignorant if you are still comparing RAM value of Samsung to the Iphones seamless software hardware integration. iPhone obliterates Samsung in terms of speed and long lasting usability even though the RAM is less. Memory management is crap on Samsung and software updates forget about that.
But the iPhone xr has a less than 1080p display in 2019 🤦♂️🤦♂️ and with android you can flash newer firmware on your device when support for the device is dropped. I mean most phone past android 5.0 can download and run any application. No iOS 12 needed shit like that.
Jamzy I had redmi note 3 with 1080p and compared with iPhone XR 828p, the iPhone screen is much better. I had 3-4 Android phones over 6 years, flashing firmware is a pain in the ass and unofficial firmware is usually buggy. That's why I moved to iOS.
The beauty about Samsung phones and android in general, is that if something needs updating, instead of waiting for an actual update to come out, you can more than likely always change it via customization and update it yourself. This was the case with my S8. Instead of waiting for the One UI update to drop, I removed my navigation buttons and installed One Hand Operation+ from the galaxy store and sideloaded Samsung experience 10. My phone worked just as if I had the update. There's always work arounds. Plus, half the updates iOS users receive from apple throttle their performance and kill their battery life. Who wants that bs lol

Samsung so good! Galaxy S10e >>>> Iphone XR...even Galaxy A50 so good...please make a video about Galaxy A50!!!!!!!

But, I don't really care about a screen resolution
Aaron Arguelles the resolution isn’t 720p. Just so you know
Well the resolution is fine tbh, the lack of 3D touch is the real deal here.
the fact that people know what is slowly being removed but dont know what the héll they are being charged for is hilarious
Its really not a fair fight though.

Definatly not a fair fight. 10e is much better.
But it's the same price point so I'd say the comparison is fair IMO
Seriously...... The s10e is the better buy? If you want to wait forever for updates, horrible battery life and a phone that loses is resale value immediately after you buy it then go for it 🤔😂🤣. Samsung appreciates taking you money until the release the s11, s12, s13...... and it’s the same old cliche.

Bika TanK EXACTLY

Played with the 10e in the T-Mobile store. I was so close to purchasing one. Then I remembered the reason I stopped using Samsung in the first place. Slow updates and being forced to use Bixby. I'll stand by and see what the Pixel 4 offers
I've been an iPhone user for 3 years (iPhone 5 and, later, 6s). After 2,5 years on 6s I've decided I need to change the boring iOS with an Samsung s9. After 6 months, I cannot wait to switch back to iPhone. Ok, Samsung checks a lot of boxes (SD card, dark mode, head phone jack, costumasation etc) but the iPhone what can do it does well (the search option is on another level, a way more stable OS, the photo navigation bar , the battery, photos true to life etc). I guess the little things done right count way more for me than the load of options that can be improved.
