i read the contender bio and it said after his mother‘s death he was persuading himself to play the Hollywood game and saw how far he could go. Even in 1954 he was suffering a serious mental breakdown
Didnt all of america seem happier in this period? Even If you watch interviews with Black americans from that time they say it was better and things went down hill in the late 60s early 70s.
This is so great!! You see how he was like this in interviews from the beginning. He thinks about what he wants to say and says it with intelligence. People who can't follow with his train of thought say he was "out there" but those people just don't have the smarts to keep up!! God I love him.
He's just speaking like any other introvert. He's speaking from a shy place. The reason you feel that his way of thinking is deeper is because his good-looks
So rare to hear Marlon talk about the craft of acting, it’s a real masterclass from the genius actor! Not to mention how sweet, respectful, and courteous he was.
I have loved Brando since I was 10 years old and saw him in The Wild One. Brilliant, gorgeous, talented actor. He was also a very flawed father, husband, and lover.
I completely agree he is is fascinating. I was drawn to his looks and then blown away by how intelligent and interesting he was. I love how he never followed the norms and was forward thinking and able to stand alone. He spoke with a good vocabulary too
You can see why women couldn't help them selfs with this man. He has just such a smooth delivery and personality... Like everything he says is so deep and meaningful.
What a beautiful man, humble, intelligent, extremely articulate, truly caring and thoughtful unlike the stars of today. Brando loved the bongos and American Indian music is made primarily by drum circles so perhaps that is what first drew him to Indian culture although he supported all suppressed peoples and civil rights.

After reading about Marlon Brando I WISHED he showed his personality in interviews. We don’t get to see his quirky, crazy weird side. He’s very polished in interviews which I understand but still I would love to watch a video with the real him.
Brando was best friends with Wally Cox who spoke very much like this. Wally was a bookworm and wordsmith. I think Brando is emulating is friend whether he meant to or not.

I always felt if Dean would have lived, we would have seen much more greatness from Brando, there was really no other actor to compare. And Brando lost interest around 60
I didn't realise this was 9 days after his passing. It is strange he wasn't mentioned. Then again, Dean's stardom wasn't that big at this time. Both Rebel without a Cause and Giant had yet to be released.
A lot happened to him in his life. I think his childhood, his own actions in relationships and then life dramas pummelled him down. He saw his flaws as he got older and is a deep thinker so blamed himself for a lot of it maybe.
@@MaisyMimi Yeah & I think he may have dealt w/ clinical depression. I believe at least one of his daughters did as well & took her own life. Also his dad didn’t approve of acting, it did a number on him
@@brandon_e23 yeah I can see depression in him. being such a deep thinker and feeler is hard. One of the best and rarest interviews with a young Brando I would say
He did only a few interviews in young years. Very private person
