Why do they tackle Matt Corby songs? I assume he is popular there. However, his music is complex. You will never come out on top, when comparing voices. Still this began very well. She seemed to lost toward the end. Still, a noble effort.
Its not like he is very popular here, but all the contestants has different taste and different artists they like (and cover). They dont follow any special template, they chose which song they want to perform themselves.
@@strooomon I think the only time the mentors picks songs for them is in the duel/battle round when they sing togethee. . I really like that they chose their own songs, cause that makes it more genuine and also you (and the mentors) can hear what kind of style they prefer and what kind of artist/singer they want to be. Then its easier for the mentors to chose the ones they feel they can help further (cause most of the contestants are great singers).
One of the auditions i keep coming back to. And her smile at the end just gets me every time.

Yeah, I prefer a more bluesy version, but she did a great job with it.
Nah i think she was way too tame with her voice and theres some rasp and emotion missing. You can feel that shes too scared to let loose.
