i feel like it would make more sense to respond to a negative statement such as Pedro isnt learning german with,, yes, he isnt learning german. instead of no, he isnt learning german
till now the best person I found on youtube to explain german logic in the simplest way.
🙏😊 dankeschön
@@yourgermanteacher digga du bist episch!
@@otty8530Bitte sagt nicht digga. Es ist idiotisch
Yeah right. It is really on the person how he/she delivers or i dont know maybe someone is born to be effective teacher.
@Yourgermanteacher: If there was Oscar award for German teachers, You would win it hands down
🙏😊
This word exists in french its "si" (not si that means "if" but pronounced the same way/diff tone) also in arabic "بلا" pronounced "bala"
And i just realised the more languages one knows the easier it gets to learn new ones !
trueeee
Now I got it. Perfectly explained. As a teacher, I can frankly say that your teaching style is clear and to the point. Keep it up. Vielen dank . 🙌💯

Concerning to "doch" it has its meaning in Arabic language with the same meaning and use .
Doch = كـلاَّ ( kala).

great to hear! 😊💪🙏
Ganz einfach, danke. Ich sage dir, das ist vielleicht die beste Erklärung zu diesem Wort die ich je gehört habe. "Doch" als Adverb = "on the contrary". Gut gemacht!
Vielen Dank Brianna. 🙏😊
Vielen Dank Lehrer Luzi für alles.
Very helpful thank you
sehr gern
Vielen Dank für dieses Video !!!
Wow this is such a useful word! I'm surprised many languages don't have that. It's so confusing answering a negative question because it's not clear if the answer corresponds to the statement or the action itself. Thank you!
Thank you
Your explanation is wunderbar! I've been always confused about this adverb, but now I totally understand it. Actually as a turk I even made a connection between doch and yoo. GREAT JOB🙂
🙏😊
Ben de "yoo" olarak düşünmüştüm, yalnız değilmişim :D

Thanks your clarification😊
Doch In French “Si” happy to know it deutsch also once more thanks you so much.😊
I've been looking for an answer to this since i started studying German. As usual, you explain it so very well! It's kinda like our Swedish "jo! / joho! Depending on the situation 😄
Super
Wonderfull explanation. I've been learning Deutsch as my second foreign language and it's been a roller coaster to say the least. Your videos have been great for me. Vielen Dank!
German to me is very easy to understand, Aber very very hard to master. Like you know what is right, but you just cant speak fluently/without errors. Very annoying sometimes, never had this much problem with English. I even studied a little French and it was much more smooth than Deutsch for me. Baby steps i guess, hopefully one day i can speak Deutsch.
💪💪👍😊 yes you can! Keep it going
Im writing my exam in next week and this channel helps me a lot. Danke luzi orde johannes.
Das freut uns 🙂👍🙏
Vielen dank 👌👌👌👌
Sehr gut, und klar!!!
danke dir José 👍😊🙏
@@yourgermanteacher bitte
thank you so much!! i've been studying german for months and always heard and saw "doch" everywhere but when i translated it the meaning was just "but" but it didnt rlly make sense to me now it makes so much sense. thank you! also interesting to find one more similarity in german to my mothertongue arabic. we also have a "doch" in arabic "بلا" pronounced "bala". the way numbers are said in german is the other similarity. we say the ones first and then tens and if there are hundreds we say the hundreds then the ones and then the tens. so 837 would be "eight hundred, seven and thirty" instead of "eight hundred and thirty seven"
You're very welcome!
It's like the french "si"❤😊
👌😊👍
It is good
Having doch in the language system actually make sense holy fck.
Super! Dankeschön
👍🙏😊
Very helpful danke
bitte gerne 😊👍
I was kinda confused, but because Im also studying French as well and it's quite good, in French they also have this exact same thing. Got this thing around very quickly. Vielen dank Luzi noch für dieses Video
Gerne 😊
Pls could you also have a video about “ noch” , “ schon” that is almost used a lot of various positions, thank you all your great videos, I watch on daily basis, a lot of them, excellent works! 🙏🙏💯👍🏻🙌🏻🙏🙏💌♾♾

I thought there is a hausaufgaben at the end of this lesson. 😁😁 Dankeshön!
Your channel helped me alot to improve my German. I've learned a lot! More videos to come hopefully.
😂 yeah not every video has hausaufgaben... 😉
super danke! 🙏
Doch can be translated as but, yet, actually, and after all. Ok, this is more clear to me..
But can I use doch with mal or denn in one sentence?? Because in some cases, doch can also means to make a sentence more friendlier besides to emphasize something. Mal and denn can be use to sound more polite and friendlier too.. or it depends? You can only use one?
no you can use them together and make it sound even more friendly 😊👍
kauf mir doch bitte mal einen kaffee. but always depends how you say it. the tone. mach doch mal deine hausaufgaben!!! more used here to emphasize that its urgent. so the tone you use makes the difference.
Dankeshön! You're the best Deutschlehrer! 👍👍🇩🇪
Sehr gerne 😊🙏
Thanks, didn't know about DOCH....
👍😊
Dankeschön
sehr gerne 👍🙏
Veilen Dank
👍🏼perfekt erklaurung
danke! 🙂
Hmmm, I would translate "doch" as "Well, actually..." :) Vielen dank!!!
Dieses Video hat mir ganz geholfen. Jetzt ist es klar, die Verschieden zwischen Ja und Doch.
Wie antwortet man dann auf Englisch auf so eine Frage?
@@Abuamatillah7 Eigentlich übersetzt man doch als "On the contrary" z.B wenn die Frage geht wie "Are you not coming to work today"? und die Antwort ist "On the contrary, I am coming to work today". So sagt man
"Kommst du Heute nicht zur Arbeit", und die Antwort ist "Doch, ich komme sicher zur Arbeit".
@@niranjanraju3459 Schon irgendwie anstrengend wenn man immer drei Wörter sagen muss hehe
@@Abuamatillah7 😀
As a German i was never aware of modalpartikel in the German language until a Chinese girl at university explained me
Can you explain how to use " noch " like this? Good video 👌❤️
Just the way you say DOCh! 😂 i like it very much 🤘🏻🤩
☺️😅👍🙏
5:26 the sentence - warst du noch nie in Berlin?
Does it mean have you ever gone to Berlin or do you belong to Berlin
if you're tutorials weren't around sir, every single German grammar point would feel like that punch as video thumbnail😂😂😂

for the first time I am learning how to use DOCH in proper way hahahah, thanks Teacher
👍😊
Can you put the link for the coming video on Modalpartikel
not filmed yet.... 😔
My teacher I miss you
Will be back very soon 😉
Doch: ofcourse ❤
Gut
danke! 🙂
My Oma (1921-1993) used to say it after a hard bit of work. But it sounded like the English word "dough"
I think it meant finished or therefor, or (to me anyways) hard work over, time for more hard work to come.
Example:
Her Lifting two buckets of water to the garden and setting them down.........doch (dough)
Giving the dog water ........doch (dough)
Carrying firewood up the stairs to the wood stove ........doch (dough)
She was middle Franconian and old school German.
I don't know if I am explaining this right
in the sentence "das bild ist schön" why didn't we say "schönes" since there is no article ?
also thank you very much for the amazing lesson , i have been learning german for 6 days now and this channel is extremely helpful
Vielen Dank 🙏😊

@@yourgermanteacher ach vielen dank , das eklärt a lot of confusion .

POV: You came here for the 0:24 . It is just satisfying to listen at.
Kinda like: "Yes, we have no bananas!" Response: Doch! LOL! Now I know the origins of Homer Simpsons, "D'oh!!" But, seriously...another illuminating video. Danke.
Dankeschön 🙏👍😂
Doch is the English equivalent of "Hey stupid, you are wrong...” combined into one word. Very convenient 😉
Wo ist der zweite Teil, bitte?
