Could you imagine a full 90 minute concert? I'd be exhausted by the end just listening. I love playing bass. I have been playing for 38 years. I will never be this good. That's ok. I wiil keep on loving playing bass.

Years before I started playing bass, a friend told me “bass is probably the easiest instrument to learn to play, but it is one of the hardest to get good at.” Over fifteen years of playing, he’s definitely right.
Bass guitar is easy compared to other instruments. Try the trombone
@@sterlingmartin3212 Every instrument seems to have a plateau where you really don't feel like you're getting better for a long time. Just kind of doing the same thing for awhile and perfectly competent, but you're not really progressing. Bass is one of the hardest to be good at because its plateau seems much harder to break from than most instruments. Does that make sense? Not sure if I put that the best way possible.

I’m pretty certain this was originally said about the guitar many centuries ago. The guitar is the easiest instrument to learn, but one of the hardest to master. Except in Italian or German. I’d have to look it up.

Just started playing bass again after a four year break due to not being able to get my hands on an instrument, I've never been so simultaneously disheartened by lack of skill and also inspired to get back into playing as I was watching this video. Definitely need more collabs with you guys, your styles, skills, and passion compliment and blend sooooo well together.
I really like the structure of these battles as they show off different techniques while having the two people somewhat playing together and going back and forth quickly at times all leading into the final bit which is typically the craziest.
Always enjoy your videos. I would say any time that I prefer that the feeling takes over the technical demonstration.

This was an absolute pleasure to witness! I think that the thing all of us should take away from this is, that rather than saying "my favourite musician/band is better than your favourite musician/band"... imagine how amazing it could be, if they worked together to make a masterpiece using their skills together, especially when they're at the top of their respective games.
