    For a Particle in 1D box in 2nd energy level, probability of finding particle at MIDDLE OF BOX is zero.
    Then how can particle present on both sides of middle of box?

    Your graphics are missing Psi(x) applied to the (E-V) term. The Schrodinger equation is an energy eigenvalue equation, where you apply the Hamiltonian operator to the wave function Psi(x), and this equals the scalar value of energy times Psi(x).
    6:18 Yes and no. The absolute value of a number is indeed it's norm, however, for the wave function Psi(x), we are looking for complex conjugates to multiply with each other, not the "absolute value."

    Sir,what is the answer of 'What is wave function?' in 1-2 sentences.

    • @AllBoutChemistry
      @AllBoutChemistry  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wavefunction is a mathematical tool which carries all info about the system, you need to apply operators to get respective information of the system.

    the wave function is not a function, it is a section in a complex line bundle over the physical space. to really understand it requires deep knowledge in topology.
