- The Blue Origin New Shepard NS-29 mission launch the company's first-ever moon-gravity mission from Texas on Feb. 4, 2025.
NS-29 is a research flight that carried 30 science payloads, 29 of which will test moon-related tech. In a first for Blue Origin, the payloads will experience two minutes of simulated lunar gravity, which the New Shepard capsule will induce by spinning at a rate of 11 revolutions per minute.
The company first tried to launch the NS-29 mission of its New Shepard suborbital vehicle on Jan. 28, but called off that try due to uncooperative weather and an issue with the rocket's avionics.

They keep mentioning this vehicle takes ‘astronauts to space’ and it does, just. It will forever be a carnival ride.
I don't have anything against carnival rides though, even expensive ones like this.
@ Sure, if they can afford it, it’s still rockets! and a good learning experience. Competition is good, and the reusable paradigm is ascendant. The ESA is slowly and ponderously following. NASA, not yet.
Just would media stop calling passengers Astronauts
When Blue Origin can put one in orbit please wake me up.
Well done Jeff. just hang in there as your company is going to achieve great success in the coming months .good luck....
I think of Austin Powers every time I see this thing. 😂
Still laughing at Bezos...I always think the ignorants laughing at Bezos..
Are you saying that it looks like a giant... Johnson? 😆
See man I thought Leslie Neilson
The final version will have the two spherical tanks for extra propellant!!!🤣🤣🤣
Just would media stop calling passengers Astronauts
Not gonna lie, I like how the Shepard hovers a few seconds before fully landing, looks pretty cool.
It does look cool but next he probably gonna build his own Mechazilla catch tower, trying to beat Space X, though in my opinion Bezos is towards behind Space X to ever be a better rocket since even after mastering so much in such little time they never stop evolving and improving at a pace I do not think Bezos could ever manage or sustain let alone beat out Space X.... I mean ffs so far all Bezos actually got launching "The New Sheppard" regularly is basically nothing more than the top 1% of earth's humans can afford a seat on his Rich Guy Thrill Ride, sorry but that's basically all the rocket is....
Very clean...really clean
Way to go New Shepard,
Very clean touchdown, both booster and capsule
Congratulations!
Yet another chute issue from origin. That's 3
Seems they are accomplishing very little, in comparison to the time, effort, and money expended.
It's a rich man's hobby compared to the heavy lifting being done at SpaceX almost daily.
@armorer94 Exactly.
Wow went to space at 18mph
That was awesome always wanted to be a astronaut
Truly men vs. boys.
Never gets old for me
That drone taking pictures sure is good.
Pretty nice keeping booster at 18mph when in a free fall, lmao that velocity metter has me lol
Спасибо. Успехов Вам.🙏
What was the purpose of this mission and what did it accomplish ?
Testing for lunar gravity
Flying weiner
@@MatticittPretty sure there’s adequate documentation from multiple lunar landings. Just another BO carnival ride.
@@Matticitt We already know that the Moon's gravity is 1/6 of earths gravity.
@@Matticitt But that is just what we were told. Corporations aren't known for being honest.
...so clean
Dreadful commentary...less of the erms, ums and ahs and y'knows and gulps would give me slightly better confidence.
Dude, like, yeah, but, c'mon man...
Yeah, like, ummm, hmmm, ya'know, maybe, errrr, uhhh ahhh, oohhh, gulp.
Agree 💯%
Linka od prędkościomierza urwała się !
Godspeed sincerely Team earth 🌎 ❤🎉
With all of the money spent why no cameras? Great job!
After 25 years of time, effort, and money, Amazon managed to create a Johnson-shaped sub-orbital rocket that can send a small capsule into the air for 11 minutes and fall back down. Are you not impressed? 😆
What I would like to see is unedited footage from all cameras. NO TRANSITIONS. Remember the time that Bezos launched humans to high altitude? To this day they have not released the full, unedited video from each onboard camera. All we have are camera transitions. Maybe Jeff couldn't afford the hard drive space lol. Yeah, that must be it. You and I probably would have done the same.
Wow at 2min into flight it's only moving at 25mph lmao I guess they got 1 thing to fix haha
No telemetry for the capsule. Poor thing.
I know , My DJI tells me more. Lame.
Metric system is for science evolution please
I think the FAA is going to be concerned about that parachute deployment.
God speed 😊😊😊😊😊❤
Far away from any independent spectators. One time Blue Origin had a Texas state highway closed for a launch. They didn't want anyone within 20 miles of the launch site. If I were going to fake a launch, I certainly wouldn't want anyone nearby with a high zoom camera, filming the empty skies lol
its time america went metric, mph and feet mean nothing to the modern world
The metric system never stuck in the USA. It was taught, but never stuck. All by design. Kids are learning multiple languages in other nations. But they couldn't learn the metric system in the USA? Sorry, but that seems like it was planned to fail.
Nice litte rocket.
Not impressed after all this wait. Lousy Inaccurate Telemetry... Inferior quality onboard Video.
Very nice. Did BO ever once mentioned in regards to their booster tht missed the Droneship named "jacklyn?"" During the reentry to our Earth. Or, sweep on the rag.
~ 😼
Separation stage bro u shld had used th cameras from ship 😢😂😂😂
Missing two round tanks at the bottom
Is the 10-0 countdown for the blind and illiterate? Cool.
Speedo needs replacement.
Looks like something an ex of mine ran into the ground.. vroom vroom..🥺😂
Please use the metric system.
Ooooo, Awww, made it to the edge of space once again. 🙄
Who is paying for these up and down rockets? I use to launch Estes rockets up and down till my supporters ran out.
完成度高けぇな
Advance manufacturing output = spaceships & satellites 😮.
Parachutes? Still? I can just picture the aliens watching that operation and laughing at us saying to each other: "damn, after 50 years they still using parachutes to land.
we need to do some DNA work on these people to wake them up, to learn how to land the f****** ship on its own, don't we?🍻
🤩🚀😍♥️👏
Looks like a DK

This is the ugliest rocket ever built.
I’ve seen better launches with model rockets. Blue origin is a joke. They shouldn’t get another dime of federal money.
Up and down😢
that gonna pain on that touchdown, the blast when it touch look so rough
copy paste from another reply for a man smart like you: "maybe we need another 200 years before people like you will know that some capsules have little thrusters underneath to make landing smoother and because of that it throws the dust like that"
Since Artemis was mentioned, it will be cancelled, - Have been in the game thirty five plus years, seen it all - The Artemis program is massively behind schedule, massively over budget, and literally unsustainable - Gone soon, just a matter of time, especially with this new administration... \m/
Good. I don't want my tax money going to fund a hoax. You shouldn't either.
So something you can do in any aircraft
Yeah, true, but BEE-Zose can't write off somebody elses vomit comet...
i wanna go in the capsule
What a joke😊
🛰️🛰️🛰️🛰️🛰️🛰️
Something
Gj
that looked faster than 25 mph, lol
maybe we need another 200 years before people like you will know that some capsules have little thrusters underneath to make landing smoother and because of that it throws the dust like that
parachutes on the moon? lol
That capsule was never meant to go to the moon, much less land there. Educate yourself.
😂😂😂 what a fake😂😂😂 serious??????
😢 not sure what good this flight was, except to waste money.
you look like a waste of oxygen
it's a splendid write off at tax time
Seems more professional than spacex
Stop smoking whatever you're smoking...
Wow...$10,000,000 for 10 minutes! Now THAT'S a bargain!
