I'll be honest, a couple of weeks of events I don't need to pull on are quite ok for me. Still I hope they get these problems fixed of course.
they will. apple is losing money on lawsuits and on taxes everywhere around the world.
hence clamping down on easy money. this game is to big. too many players to die over a few weeks delays or 1 or 2 months. its fine.

Dragon Heir was largely because the gameplay was hostile to casual gamers and it couldn't catch on, when you make folks grind gear but then delete all of it every 12 weeks or so they eventually run out of fucks to give. There's reasons to think they're cashing out, huge banners get the most money and this one's pretty amazing. But you can't rule out a secret deal, that the update's next week and this is a chance to deplete reserves and encourage spending. It's difficult to find optimism when you can't get a solid answer about anything from anyone involved.
I just wish they had better communication with us on everything. Like if I knew this situation was getting resolved soon and we could get the update then I wouldn’t even be concerned but after seeing dragonheir (which came out around the same time as watcher) get terminated, it raises some serious concern with these issues.
@DrDeez-WOR Dragon Heir has been out longer, I played season zero and they're on 3. They did zero twice btw. I admit this looks like they're cashing out, remember that they like us hungry for summons so this could be the sign that the update is very soon also. I'm going for V and then Lust, if I don't get V in less than 100 summons I'll be pretty sure it's over. When you want folks staying, you shadow boost the rates since feeling lucky makes you summon more. Business as usual means dgaf imo
It's funny that you mention Dragonheir. Back in February, after my old game shut down, I was looking for a new game. I had my choices whittled down to Raid, WOR. and Dragonheir. I was leaning strongly towards Dragonheir, because of its tie in with D&D and I played A LOT of D&D, back in the day. After reading reviews for the games, I settled on WOR, and am so glad that I didn't waste time, and potentially some money, on Dragonheir.

The best move is to for now leave the game on the IOS, and update on Andriod and Windows.

I really hope this is sorted and we can move forward and continue to enjoy this fantastic game. If Moonton does decide to fold its operations it will send shock waves throughout this genre and potentially call an end to these types of games, I mean who would want to put money into any game knowing this could happen. Sensationalizing the idea that the game is "going downhill" can push away players just to get video clicks.
This game has been so much better than other gachas for me, and I don't want to see it discouraged into oblivion.
I don't have much joy in life besides occasional drinking, and my bonded A1 Silas is something I'd like to keep.
Just one very important annotation. You make it sound as if the EU randomly charged Apple 14bn Euros because of their shady business practices. (Google also recently got fined.) The European Commission is going through great lenghts to reign in the big Tech giants that deem themselves above national laws.
In my opinion, that's a lot more important issue than a delayed update ore the state of some mobile game.
The other part, the Bytedance Apple beef: Apple doesn't want those 3rd party payment options like smile one, Bytedance wants to have them. So it just 2 greedy companies fighting over your money. I wouldn't get too worked up about that.
Speaking of greedy companies, I am totally including Moonton in this lot. Because if you release a FTP game with a Pay-to-win and a gambling component, you are just not a nice company. Periond. And I am writing this as a spender who really loves WOR.

please help me decide, i do have silas but no vierna yet, should i go after her this weekend over lust ? because i don't have arrogance yet, so i reckon getting lust is not my priority for now. Moonton gotta be kidding, how come they put all the good banner at the same time this weekend 🤣
I would say go for lust, though it's a silas/vierna banner still there's a chance you might not get vierna. Moreover, i think silas/vierna banner will cycle again before another lust banner. End of the day, it's up to you.
They want us to throw summons into these banners before they put up Kigiri.. i'd say its up to you and about how many summons you have. If you can pull Lust (250 guaranted pull) and have some more for Silas/Vierna, go for Lust, if not, get yourself Vierna

I've got a fair amount of summons and no Vierna, that bond skill makes Silas so much better so she's my focus. I've Lust and Arrogance tho, hoping for awakenings. Lust was a Valentines thing and should come back again then, but I think like me you're missing Silas's bond skill.
If you have the 250 go for Lust since she's guaranteed and use whatever you have left for Vierna.
Only apple would lose the game if anything. Plus re-run event helps new and old non whales get free material and summons.
I mean it is awesome for newer and f2p to catch up but I already see OG’s leaving the game. If they stall too long more will lose interest and more will quit. Hopefully they resolve this fast
@DrDeez-WOR true. But that's why they did the PC port for OG to put their game there. Honestly, they can update all other servers and just keep running saving events for iPhone until ready.
These online service games shut down all the time. Once the server cost is greater than or equal to the profit, it's lights out. Imo, it'll be a while before we get there. The real issue is we won't have new players coming in without updates and advertising. With no new players coming in its only a matter when, not if, the game will die.
So I have played mobile games for a longtime (pokeland legends, summonors war, clash Royale, clash of clans, raid, etc) and not a single one has shut down to my knowledge. That dragonheir scares me a little with what’s going on with this update but hopeful they will resolve soon
not that great news , but the great news I pulled today. got a1 ajax with my 1 divine and got a3 setram with about 50 blue pulls. saving the rest for another event.

Game can't thrive.... there is no competition for newer and weaker accounts. So very little incentive for new players to come.
I would have to kindly disagree bro. Plenty of competition for newer players against newer players. The real problem is the end game players getting bored with nothing new coming
I missed a few weeks of arena and dropped down to Platinum 1. I have a decent account. Probably 50% of the available opponents are 420K BP teams or ungeared meta teams. That tells me that half the competition in the "new" player bracket are not the intended audience.
I'm just going off a single snapshot. I think you did that epics only challenge, so you may have a better vantage.
Whats the fix though? Is it to take a loss on the smile one, and cut ties with that program?
That is the million dollar question. Idc how they resolve it but they just need to find a solution asap!
I definitely agree that the game (Watcher of Realms) is losing its touch... unfortunately, it's the same feeling I got after playing Raid for a while. As a result, though, this is why as a big fan in the horror theme, I've only mainly been booking out horror characters: maxing out Gisele to 60 k power, Admiral Claw in my team for NM4, etc. Even though the aesthetics of ALL of the characters in the game are amazing, I've sacrificed well-known good characters (such as a Salazar) because I personally didn't want him because he's not scary; and assure you I would sacrifice Elowyn without hesitation if I pull her, because she would not fit in with my horror collection. Just like in Raid where I kept Elegaius instead of other legendaries, that's just me. For me personally, I find in these gacha games, if you want to stay interested in playing the game, save for the characters YOU want - not those that make your account better - because at their max level any of them can carry your account. This will keep you less stressed for the next upcoming weekend and save up for the weekend you want to pull and sacrifice (though it may be painful) those you don't (at heart) personally want so you can get soulstones and other resources. On that note, I am NOT pulling for the upcoming banners this weekend because I already have Vierna, Silas, and Arrogance, and don't want Lust, so I will be saving for the new scary characters. Keep up the great work DrDeez. I know this comment was long and biased, but after playing Raid for four years (and finally quit), I realized you have to save for the character you personally want, otherwise you will just get frazzled about every new shiny character.

That would solve the problem to a certain extent cus then the only problem is players who have accounts associated with Apple 🤔 the game would lose a good portion of their players until it’s resolved

I said it on a discord page wor should of Capitalized on all the mistakes and faults that all the other gacha games had made but they haven't and still makeing mistakes i do like playing but
have been seeing alot of stuff just being swept under the rug this is what kills games in the end .

Is iPhone not the same as android in the way I'm about to explain.
On android we can just download apps off our browser we don't need the store if iphones work the same all moonton have to do is take the game off the store make a dedicated site for iphones to download the game and just like p.c if you want to buy stuff buy w gold.

I been stuck for a few weeks not advancing anymore and I'm guessing due to not having the right heros. I seen things were delayed cause of apple. Hopefully it's just a little hiccup..But I do see Lust on the board this week

In the 224 days I have played, they have added 2 new dungeons, a forge, plenty of hero's, they just keep adding more and more content. I am happy to wait for the BIG update as it will completely give us so much, everyone just has no patience for anything.
