If you want to see how resonant Paulownia is ... buy a $100 import guitar. Use a large swimming pool pickup cavity (the bender mechanism will suffice) and a hard abs single ply pickguard (or bender cover), plus a hard shell epoxy-type finish coat and it will sound like a semi hollow body guitar. Give him a 4-way switch to have series humbucking mode available for hum-noisy gigs. Some complain about screw pull-out but I've never had that problem, the bender may have pivots and string mounts that need superglue soaked in or maybe a large maple/hardwood dowl-puck glued in.
