SNK's characters are so full of 'life'! You can tell their vibrant and interesting personalities just by some random cut scenes! It's incredible! Fantastic CHARACTER DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT. Also, Can we please, keep this art style? I really like this 2D shading on the characters. I really dig Guilty Gear's 3D/2D look in their last game. I wish KOF where like that. It would go perfectly with their art.

Yes. I have literally cried during this ending. Seeing Ash himself disappear and him being removed from the memories were bad enough. Seeing Elizabeth's team dialogue and the f'ing art and music hurt me so much. Ash was a dear favorite of mine and one of the most interesting fighting game characters just by his unique looks nad personality. He is brought back, but I will never forget how powerful this ending is. It was beautifully made and a great end to my most favorite KoF saga.
Oh Kyo and Iori. The way SNK playedwith both of them in KOF 99 was awesome. Do not knowing that happened to kyo, and when he appeared with Kyo tears... I felt as shingo.
The art is based on "Rose of Versailles" which is an old classic manga. The other KOF females you see in the pic are Mai Shiranui and King. I gotta say the artwork is well done, I love it! It brings out the femininity and beauty of the women.
Ha ! Glad to see Iori back up with his flames, Chizuru with his mirror powers too, Ash Crimson really saves the world and avoided the catastrophe who seems imminent. With the Saiki's death, the clan Those From The Past mysteriously disappear whitout reason.
Just to clarify....for those who are confused....Mature and Vice convinced Iori to enter KOF 13.....but he didn't have his flame.....that's why he wanted to kill Ash. To get his powers back. And that thing he held in his hand was the reset for all his powers, including his blood curse, which makes him go berserk. He does regain his purple flames, and that is shown in the Japan team ending, which is probably why the uploader linked them together. Hope you enjoyed this comment! :)

there should be voiceover for these cutscenes. at least, the animated ones. it looks so corny when the characters are just mouthing what they say. besides, it would be pretty helpful in some of them since there are no speaker tags.

It's a tradition that every protagonist team wins the tournament. In this arc, it seems like Elizabeth's team are the champions. Both Kyo and Iori's endings are canon, minus the winning part.

I was never really born since kof 95,96,97,98,99,2000,20001,2002 and 2003 was when i was born and a few years later i was 9 and my uncle introduced to me the game kof 97 so i started playing and i thought kof was the most stooooooopid game man kind has ever made, cus i was uuuuuhhhh.....i....was....never.....really.....goood......at.....it........... :P but then i did combos to defeat orochi and i won then i felt really happy and started playing the other kof games and i got good at all kof games so yeah this is how got to know and like kof :D
He stole Iori's flames because well Iori does have the flames of Orochi blood or "Blood of Riot", much more stronger than Kyo's flames. So when Ash stole his flames, Ash had a power boost, but then again Iori's sacred treasure, the magatama is the source of his flames so of course when Ash took that Iori's flames are gone. However, Iori still retained his "slashing" powers and still is a strong opponnent after losing his flames. I'm always glad to help and answer :-)

I always wondered what happened to Leona in the Ikari Warriors ending that caused her to end up in a hospital. No explanation is ever given before, during or after the ending. Can only assume it has something to do with Riot of the Blood.
Also, I thought that was the whole reason Lars was introduced in Tekken 6 One idea I always thought would be cool was if they had the children of some of the KOF pairings (King-Ryo, Andy-Mai, etc.) taking their parents' spot and some of the younger characters maturing into masters of their art (like Hokutomaru being a badass ninja and Momo being a master psychic). Obviously there would be brand new people too, but would be a nice tie to the past as well
Ash is here because he's the new hero of KOF. He starts out as a mysterious boy in 2003 having some evil plan to steal all the sacred treasures. So he stole Chizuru's mirror .Then in KOF XI he manipulates Oswald and Shen to fight each other. He steals Iori's flames.Then we meet Elisabeth whom scold Ash for forgetting their mission....

He's a bigger hero because he sacrificed himself. He erased his own existence(Heidern even said Ash saved everyone), when he refused to walk into the Time Door. That all means story wise, that all the other characters forgot about him or will eventually because time and space have shifted due to Ash's sacrifice, they have no memories of who he was and that means he never existed and the KOF Ash Saga never happened, again story wise of course.
At 22:40, in the aftermath of the VAs in KOF XIV and the games after that, I cannot help but feel sad and a sense of longing about the old VAs. However, I will reserve my hatred for Ash Crimson due to that same aftermath (it has to do with VAs and idols).
Adding on to the last comment.Then in KOF XIII we see that Ash's true nature. We find out he's not evil or selfish. He turned out to be a bigger hero than Kyo, Iori and K'Dash. He just acts like a trickster just to earn Saiki's trust. Anway he stole to treasures to make himself stronger to destroy Saiki(he can control time) his ancestor/creator whom he never liked. For Saiki was trying to rule the world and possibly kill off Elisabeth's whole entire clan. So in other words, he saved mankind.end.
I think the 2.5D direction they had implemented in this game is work better than 3D in KOF xiv. But it can't be bothered that it's more expensive in the making.
Guys, pay attention. Ash is outside the Orb and alive and well while walking away from Saiki (his ancestor) who's locked up outside of space and time. If there is another K.O.F. then no one will remember Ash, but Ash will know everything about all the other characters he already met

That's one reason why I respect SF3-1, as they tried mixing things up with having Alex as the protagonist and Ryu and Ken being the only holdovers (at initially) It's also for this notion that I didn't care much for Soul Calibur 5, as I personally felt things were resolved plotwise after 4 (there's a dude with *literal* energy cannon hands and a time fortress in a medieval weapons game - usually that's grand finale stuff imo) At the least they could've replaced more characters besides Taki

King of fighters 13 needs more DLC characters, such as Rock, Malin, Jhun, Tizoc and Wild Wolf (Terry). The only DLC character is only Classic Iori.

I think the 2.5D direction they had implemented in this game is work better than 3D in KOF xiv. But it can't be bothered that it's more expensive in the making.

That's one reason why I respect SF3-1, as they tried mixing things up with having Alex as the protagonist and Ryu and Ken being the only holdovers (at initially)
It's also for this notion that I didn't care much for Soul Calibur 5, as I personally felt things were resolved plotwise after 4 (there's a dude with *literal* energy cannon hands and a time fortress in a medieval weapons game - usually that's grand finale stuff imo) At the least they could've replaced more characters besides Taki
as a newcomer to the series i just cant get over the fact they didn't put in voice-acting to flesh out the characters.
