    as an electrician, it is a very dangerous custom welder, if the phase had been in contact with the element that holds the metal part (luckily) around it would have energized the floor, the cement looks dry I imagine it could reduce the electrified sector. the mineralized water with salt greatly improves the conductive capacity of water so if you measure voltage between one of the contacts that was Phase, you would be directly exposed to the 220V fatal to a person. For this reason the welding machines even the electronic ones have a transformer that separates the 220V to deliver a reduced voltage that will not electrocute the worker.

    Para evitar que los polos se lleguen a juntar en los postes, se les debe. Pegar a cualquiera de las dos láminas un pedazo de plástico o goma o madera que evite que se iban, especialmente cuando se utilizan voltajes mayores. Y se debe tener un orificio de escape a los gases que se liberan dentro con una manguera sellada para evitar que se inflaman.en contacto con cualquier chispa que por defecto se produzca en el exterior del pote en la unión de los tornillos. También, si polarizas las corrientes de salidas con diodos de alta capacidad. Podría superar al invertir.

    The salty water is working simply as a resistor, and heats a lot. If you weld for too long , you need to drill holes on those bottle caps or the steam generated will explode the bottles an throw boiling water and glass or plastic shrapnell all over.

    • @ninaghellere4444
      @ninaghellere4444 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Algo, use only one larger bottle, só you can connect the ground line from the incomming power tô the part you are wellding, preventing stocks.

    This is a super good idea and way safer than using an outdated technology like transformers and other such nonsense. Im using a couple of 55 gallon drums to step down my illegal tap into my city's 10kV feeder line that runs behind my house on the high tension line towers. I get free electric and Im in the process of adding a heat exchanger system onto the 55 gallon drums for a hot water supply, therefore reclaiming even more wasted energy. And here's a PRO tip: By not isolating my service, a single insulated wire is all that is required to get power anywhere on my property.

    Need to be EXTREMELY CAREFUL WITH THE SEALS ON THE JARS! The bubbles you see is NOT water boiling, you're creating hydrogen gas in one jar, and oxygen in the other. You need soild jars that can withstand a molten ball of metal sitting on it from the welding. As this is HIGHLY EXPLOSIVE!!! LOOSE SEALS ON JARS AND OPEN VENTILATION ARE A MUST!
    Even better to seal and capture the oxyhyrogen gas and use it. In the case of welding, - you could trap the gas in a canister and use it for a blow torch.
    This is Electrosis of salt water. Your creating highly EXPLOSIVE games in proximity to a million sparks flying around waiting to detonate it!!!!

    Those two salt jars acted like two resistors to limit the current so that he didn't trip the circuit breaker. But the current was too low, it was only enough to make some arcs, not enough to do any welding. At 10:24, you can clearly see it didn't really do any welding on the steel surface!

    Электроды в банках, беленькие на большом удалении друг от друга. А потом хоп почернели, стали короче и стоят уже близко. Для справки тебе, если там обычная вода и соль, то вода будет мутнеть и пениться, а электроды станут матовыми и разъедаться солью.

    For anyone thinking that salt somehow steps up current: his socket is already connected to a welding transformer of some kind. The jars only introduce a useless resistance, if you want to add resistance to your circuit, there's ton of better ways.

      No, it actually works.. the salt acts as an "arch" for the electricity to cross on..
      If you use distilled or fresh water it will not cross.. salt water acts as a transformer..
      Making the water conducive..
      But the water boils normally..

    The theory behind this technique is through salt water the voltage gets little bit decreased and gets increased in current that's why the light bulb 💡 didn't close to its fullest and high amps are needed to do a welding 🥽

    • @yintaru3374
      @yintaru3374 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. The closer the electrodes are to each other in salt water, the lower the voltage and the higher the current.

    Supply voltage reaches welding rod &work,so shock can occur.Autotransformer of suitable range is better.A high power capacitor will do the work,for a few minutes.

    But can you tell me how your water sealed in jars doesn't overheat to a boil.. or did you just do it for very short bursts..?

    • @myannkayevideos8913
      @myannkayevideos8913 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The water inside the jar is not getting heat.. Because there is no heating filament.. The water iside t comes bubbles because of the pressure of current energy.. .. We do this before our experiment due to electronics actual evaluation ..😊😊😊😊

    Holy smokes and never vented it at all, I'm surprised the jars didn't pop from the hydrogen being created ... A couple of things the leads got so close in the jar because the water was getting so hot I thought surely he'd fry himself

    • @johnnyblue4799
      @johnnyblue4799 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can't do that. You'd just short it and blow a fuse. Did you see how dim the light bulb is? I don't know if it's fake, or not, but a direct connection to the power would just blow the fuse.

    • @badassbees3680
      @badassbees3680 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johnnyblue4799 why? It just wouldn't be enough to weld with if anything I'd think..I mean the saltwater isn't stepping it up from 110 to 220.I could be wrong I don't know if it's fake or not either,I think it has to be though

    • @johnnyblue4799

      @@badassbees3680 An arc welder, in its basic form, is just a transformer which lowers the voltage and permits high currents. You don't need to step up the voltage to weld. You need high amps.
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Welding_power_supply#Transformer
      My first stick welder was just such a contraption which was homemade by an electrician and it worked fine. Only if couldn't vary the amps. It was one setting only, which worked fine for 2 mm sticks and not very thick pieces to weld. Also not good for very thin material, but then no stick welder is really good for that.
      So coming back to the video and your initial question, if you put the stick against the piece you're welding and connected directly to the power outlet, it would be exactly like taking a wire and sticking both ends into the power supply. There will be no load, which is basically what a short circuit is. It will only blow a fuse.
      What I don't understand is how (or if) the salty water behaves like a transformer.

      The salt makes the water more conductive, and the water is working like an isolator to the circuit breaker. Do this without the isolator and you just trip the breaker, or cause electrical fire from short circuit

    A bit dangerous. You might want to check the amperage you're pulling from that. If you have too much salt, you can burn up your breaker box and even cause a fire. I did it myself with a similar setup. Had to replace the breaker box and breaker.
