Van Hool are very popular in the UK as well. I've always been impressed with there coaches, (not buses; a bus is what takes passengers shortish distances between 2 points, usually less than 10 miles.) There are several other coaches builders in Europe, (Setra, Salvador Caeteno, Sunsundegui, Irizar, Beulas, Indcar), are the most popular.

tbh it's cos the rear axles steer, they're ovbiously going to wear much faster as they turn while the other rear wheels don't
