Does anyone remember Tropico2: Pirate Cove? You had to build a pirate island and you could send your ships to plunder the ships of England, France and Spain. It was so much fun!

Oh this does feel very Anno like, but with a different focus and spin on it too. Looks great, the combat system looks very intriguing too. Great voice acting! I'd love to see more of this on the channel going forward :)

Really loving this game already, please keep episodes coming and don't stop like you did with Kaiserpunk, which is actually really interesting game as well... Wish you would continue, instead of manor lords... without more updates to manor lords it starts to be boring really... Anyway, I am tuned :))) thank you for another great game to watch:)))

I was waiting for a gameplay video from you, the game looked so good in the trailers I saw. Just Anno but a different setting, different mood, that can be both good and bad if it's missing some of the quality of life changes we are used to in Anno. But it looks good so far!

Looks nice and all.... But I dislike it. This feels like an Anno clone that shouldnt exist. It is just too close to Anno, if you sell a game, it needs to be distinct in some way.
If I gave that to someone and said this is the new spinoff Anno: PAX CARIBBEA, then few would question it.
Yes. I’ve tried Kaiserpunk and this. And while Kaiserpunk got me seriously hooked and wanting for more and buying it on release for sure, cause it had to offer plenty of its own, this one I’ve dropped even before demo time ran out. Everything I’ve seen here, Anno does better.

Tropico take place in central America and it's a famous spot for many stories in the west for pirate setting.

But this is not just "like" Anno, it is a copy of Anno with a different skin.
It is similar to the stardew valley debate. Where stardew fell on the side of yeah it is like Harvest moon, BUT has it's own style and ideas.
This one falls on the side of ... yeah it is a clone and shouldnt release imo. Wouldnt even be surprised by a C&D.

Theres nothing better than ubisoft losing its near monopoly on citybuilders of this kind 'cause they're just about the worst company in the gaming space.

dear developers of this game: how do you lack a single original idea that you copied Anno 1800 entirely? Even the transitions of the story images are the same. Unbelievable. And you have the audacity to sponsor TH-camrs with this theft? wow. at least try to solve the texture tiling problem on everything.

@@Nivarias you are being paid to like it, so your reply is understandable, but for us "gamers for fun", it's cheaper to just play anno with a mod, than buying a new game that it's a copy of anno, and has limited content. Additionally, pirates were never this organized to have big cities or settlements, that's why they never did anything of their lives other than robbing ships. The guys in Anno understood that, these copy cats don't... They wanted to copy anno, change story line and a few resources and put it in the market like if it were a new game to squiz money out of the anno fans
@@Papeladas Exactly. Got no problem with an "anno-like" game, but this is just sad. Carbon copy of mechanics with worse graphics, ultimate laziness. But let's just pay influencers some money in hopes enough people fall for it. This is why the video games industry is dead.
This is why I tend to avoid sponsored content. The creator inevitably can’t make any criticism whatsoever and is a general hit to credibility.

This is just a bad copy of Anno. Out of moral principle I would never buy it.
