IM LOVING THIS GAME. PLUS, with Charlie playing it, it makes it even better. I love his way of explaining it and playing the games he plays. MORE PLEASE!☺️☺️ Peace Peace ✌🏼✌🏼
btw charlie a small ship can turn REALLY sharp. that 2 turn ya little boat did was because it was so small. the bigger a ship is the larger the turn is.
"Why is the rum gone?!" Lol but all jokes aside, I love pirate related stuff, I used to play the shit outta Pirates! The Legend of Black Kat from the old PS 2 days, and while I haven't played it myself, I've seen the entirety of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag, and naturally I've seen most of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies...repeatedly. Basically though I might have to get this since it looks pretty good, so thanks for showing us what this game is all about Charlie! :D
Black Flag is my favorite AC, although that was also the most recent version I’ve played as well. Haven’t had any chances yet to get into the more modern ones
@@theonus_4483 Thanks! I'll see if I can't find it later after I do some writing or something. Just fanfiction before you ask, but I post all my stuff on Questionable Questing under the name of Vergil1989 Crossover King if you're curious. :D At any rate, thanks again!
Black Sails was absolute gold (no pun in ten did) and how TV should be produced. Write all of it from beginning to end and then film it all back to back after budget and greenlit. They wanted (the tv studio) them (the writers) to do more of a show due to how much of a hit, it was and they declined. Good on them and good show. I guess Netflix got the rights to it and its why I can't watch it any more on amazon. (yet I have the dvd)
Im always looking for anytype of building games. Love them. I used to play a regular NES game called Uncharted Waters. It has alot of sailing and taking over ships and building a fleet. It looks like this game may be close to Uncharted.
This looks good. It's not as crunchy as Anno, but just a little crunchier than some of the other similar games out there. Besides, any game that sings Drunken Sailor to me is an instant yes.
why they don't ever put curve roads in these type of games? I mean its not that realistic to have all the road all straight up like that. some curvy roads and some houses or field around the corner of that would be awesome.
there i one flaw i seen they did that most games based in that time did. sails where made from hemp not cotton we did not start using cotton till USA made it so you had to bring your hemp crops to dc for a stamp to make it legal but was stopping people on there way to get the stamp with there crops and arresting them because they dint have a stamp all to make the timber and cotton industry grow so at the time when games like this is set in the sails would be hemp
this is more like tropico 2 than anno for me...i didnt play anno but i played tropico 2 a lot and this is very similar...i think we could safely call it a mix of tropico 2, anno and sid meiers pirates as far as the ship control/fighting...its all similar to each game definitely worth playing :)
With such a small limit to available storage, I don't see much of a point in it. It's a resource that is only consumed upon building structures, not as an input to anything else, so once we fill up I can basically shut it down
There is a playlist on the channel, yes. We didn’t get super far into it, however, because viewership was horrible for it at the time. th-cam.com/play/PLsBoF66x4ZmAqUJhcRrqtzhBETzHSU0XN.html
@@CharliePryor Maybe there is a bigger chance now with your much bigger audience but I will check that out thanx. It has the complexity you look for at least.
when i see this game it looks like the anno games, i was first thinking the patrician games but the building is more anno like same for the fighting on sea
"The Republic of Pirates was meant to be different. But the greed got to them too." Shame. I was really hoping that a land-based state with a ruling class composed almost entirely of fiercely independent, individualistic, nigh-on nomadic men and women who built their massive fortunes and terrifying reputations on sea-based robbery, murder, and brutal torture would have an easier time settling in and building a peaceable, stable, sedentary society. Where did it all go wrong? Who can say! But _surely_ it couldn't have been doomed from the start! Requiescat In Pace, First Republic of Pirates. Here's a health to the Second!
The thing that really set them off was being totally dropped and left hanging by England. Privateering was too good. Unemployment made them desperate, and at that point, that's the only thing they knew how to do for coin
Ahoy lads and ladies! I hope you AAAAARRRRR having a great day! This be some pirate city building for ye! Enjoy!
For me this is another one of those games I wouldn't play myself but could be great fun watching someone else doing it. First episode very enjoyable.
They do little sea shanties everytime you click on your ships, absolutely great sound editing.
Black Flag vibes intensifier
Despite others referring to it as Anno with pirates that just makes it better for me. Also a new series yay.

Alright! I'm glad that you're doing this one. I've had this on my wishlist and I've been wanting to see the gameplay first before I buy it. ☺
have not heard of this gem until i checked out your playlists! Excited for this one!
1:06:00 I regularly play sea shanty compilations from Captain Halyard here on YT. It's good stuff.

Have you played Sid Meir’s: Pirates!..? That’s THE pirate game for me.
I haven't, but I'll check it out so thanks! :D

Hi Charlie if you had noticed there was a -40 ib the clay production on Rat Island that's why there is only a 60% for clay

Definitely a great show… as long as there are no kids around. ;)
@@CharliePryor certainly! the very first scene when he meets "blackbeard".!!! lol.
Nice to see you playing this game! I was thinking about getting it, so now I can check it out.
"Why do they call it a brothel? Does it have something to do with broth?" Merrill from Dragon Age 2
Haha, in a twisted sorta way, sure, we could say that it does. ;)
I learned pirate back in college.. It's a very easy language to learn!! it's got 2 I's, 1 R, and 7 C's ;)
Thanks.🙏🙏
The sea shanties are just amazing!🏴☠️
"Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrr", when you said it was amusingly.
Looks like anno 1800 but with pirates
remind me of sid meier's pirates.
Ok, I can get into this one. Looking forward to the next one 😁

I’m loving this please carry on
Dunkin by one leg 😂😂😂🎉❤
This is one of the best games I've played since Anno 1800
It's the same game.
This is a hidden gem of a game 😂
When I saw the thumbnail, I honestly thought you were going to play skull and bones😂😂😂.
This looks good. It's not as crunchy as Anno, but just a little crunchier than some of the other similar games out there. Besides, any game that sings Drunken Sailor to me is an instant yes.
It’s “Anno-lite” basically. Many will welcome this.
There is "inspired by Anno" and there is "Anno light with a new coat of paint". This is the latter. Not necessarily bad but really really blatant. :)
They actually have described their own game as "Anno-lite" so yeah, that checks out. :)

Would the brick production be more if you made it a priority? I noticed the tab when selected the building.

@@CharliePryor I will defer to the Cpt's better judgment. Thanks for the info for when I play.
The narrator sounds like Henry's dad in KCD.
Looks like an anno reskin so far, anything you’ve found that really makes it stand out?
Sea shanties. ;)
@@CharliePryorvalid take 😂
Jack Howell may look a bit like Varys but he reminds me of "Littlefinger" from GOT.
I meant sound. Listen to how he comes in with his dialogue. Sounds very much like him
If you like sea shanties, I recommend Nantucket
Have you done an Anno play through at one point? If not, that is an idea :)

The voiceover guy sounds like Sean Bean
That was my first thought as well.
Is this from the guys who made Anno?
No, but it is partially inspired by it. They self-describe as Anno-lite
OOoo Whats this! :D
You have 1 cotton field on pause
I like this but it is very much similar to Anno 1800.
More than ANNO the mechanics of this game reminds me of the game: Zeus lord of Olympus
Woooohoooo first one here haha
Looks like it was ripoffed from Anno series, the graphics, the assets, they are almost the same.
are you somali pirate or normal
Somali pirates weren’t even really a thing until the 21st century
@@CharliePryor ugh somali empathizer
