Also, the activist goes in talks about being kicked out of the Public Enemy during their press conference and admits that he might've "rearranged furniture" if he was there.

I always felt Spike Lee should do the movie, his style (Do The Right Thing/Malcolm X, Jungle Fever, Mo Betta Blues) would fit perfectly.. that Jazz style of directing but very character detailed, and culture/time detailed.. it would be amazing.
