- So here it is, the long awaited video of this years 2nd Iconic Revival!! It certainly didn’t disappoint! Carl had an absolute blast racing his Tamiya Super Hotshot while Mark races the iconic Kyosho Javelin aka “the Gollumobile”

Having watched the whole vid; vintage should be box stock or near box stock, otherwise you have no chance to be competitive. If you have the money and time, race modern stuff. Really don't like the approach of Trick bits... I can afford a rere Tamiya, but not the extra hundreds to be competitive. Just my opinion...

Agree with you about the Vintage being near stock or at least restricted to a 14 turn motor (brushed). Without it its killed the appeal for me.
With regard to the YZ10. Mr smith has taken it upon himself to develop the parts and build them now as kits etc. I say good luck to him. I had 1 back in the day and I would very much like 1 again

FYI The Hotshot shocks are oil-filled, but it is the really light Tamiya yellow oil. I always put heavier stuff in my Tamiya shocks now. Keep up the good work! Love the videos!

I want to get back in to RC but i am very self conscious of looking an idiot who doesn't know what he is doing. I have a bit of a nervous character though i hide it well. Love this channel guys gives me hope that i can get my hobby up and running again. 👍🏻

I bought a Cougar and Procat at the beginning of the year to enter the Revival. but because these were some of the most popular cars i didn't get an entry.

Looks like a very cool event. You might want to have a chat with Gav from RC kicks as he was racing a Schumacher chassis recently, and it seems had to upgrade it a fair bit.

You cant go wrong with the cougar and procat, i love running mine and had some good results at revival with them and other vintage events. That YZ-10R is a sext thing. Win the lottery and i’ll buy one 😁

Great stuff Mark and Carl, funny enough I have done the same, bought a Procat and Cougar end of last year, even managed to run them a few times at my nearest out door club (Plymouth) Love them both, will be hoping to upgrade the electrics next year and increase the track time, before trying to do some events in 2025, so keep at it!! I really enjoy the revival weekends, loads of fun and that's what I'm here for. I know I ain't gonna win any races but I did win icon of the 4wd day with my yellow and green lazer zx. It was good to chat to you guys and I think you are the essance of what revival is about

Damn, that Yokomo looked amazing, what a car!! I'd love to come along to next year's Popalong GP, or the Iconic Cup, or something similar. Awesome stuff guys!!!
