Woo! I just love seeing how your adventures progress and how much you're learning! I still remember the first time you lived in the truck with us, what a ride! LOVE YOU!
I enjoyed your videos so much. I was so happy to see that you were practicing safety measures. Wh we n youre go I ng on hikes, are there other people around in these remote areas. I'm probably too hypervigilant.

Excellent video. Very entertaining. I suggest you get a good wide brimmed hat to keep the sun off you face when hiking. Sunburn and windburn out west is hard on the skin. I liked how you cleaned up your nice rav4. Good looking rig.
I discovered you Sarah, By the multiple times , you were with your cousin Nikki. It’s nice to see you on your own journey. If you want sleep better at night, (( without any noise )) as a Professional Truck Driver for the past 25 years, I always sleep whit ears plug , it’s like sleeping on another planet, because you ear ABSOLUTELY nothing of your surrounding.
Nice tip. Also, sounds a little dangerous not being able to hear your surroundings. I wear ear plugs too, but not when camping as I’d rather be alert and wake up if needed
not to freak you out or scare you, but when hiking alone put your hair in a bun. I used to teach a self-defense class and ponytails and braids are too easy to grab onto...a small pepper spray and a loud whistle are also good proactive safety devices...stay safe and enjoy the journey...your channel is cool love yours and your cousins videos 👍
I am LOVING your videos!!! They are so full of information, sights, sounds and just plain FUN to watch!! Keep them coming, Sarah!! You are so much fun!!
Always go with your gut. If you don't feel safe, go someplace that you do. Your gut feeling is always a good thing. You did right by going to where you felt safe, especially when you're alone.
You should visit the central coast. Specifically, see the elephant seals just south of San Simeon, the quaint Cayucos beach town with its original pier, eat delicious fresh fish & chips while watching sea otters in Morro Bay, hike the beautiful ocean views of Montana de Oro State Park in Los Osos after stopping at the best bread bakery anywhere, Caliwala; I could go on forever!
Pismo Beach, Avila Beach, Morro Bay, Harmony (population 18), Cambria. Moonstone Beach, the zebras and seals on the coast, and Ragged Point. Also, you can overnight stay in the casino parking lots in Palm Springs!
You're an amazing human being. An inspiration to many that should just live life to the fullest with no regrets. Please be safe and continue your journey to happiness with no regrets.
You're becoming savvy with car camping. Great how careful you are and that you follow your gut and decided to move to a safer spot. You're gaining your balance, both literally and figuratively, in navigating hiking trails, finding campsites, shopping, etc. Happy travels! 💜🐦
I love the adventures you have with Nikki! Y'all should do more collaborations in the future. You have made significant progress! Keep up the hard work! Peace and love sent from Texas.
Yep people enjoy the animals and the trees before the GREEDY MONSTERS like Bill Gates, Klaus Schwab, Yuval Noah Harari, The World Economic Forum takes it all way including your food, your home gardens, your pets, the trees and your homes with inflated housing insurance rates thanks to Black Rock and GEO storms to displace people from their property and so that Black Rock, Black Stone, Vanguard, Zillow can turn them into high cost rentals and or sell them so expensively so Americans cant afford to buy them. Therefore folks enjoy the out doors before they place you in 15 minutes curfews and remember according to our friends and allies you will own nothing while they increase the bugs in your food give you a new plandemic and chip your brain to MAKE YOU BE happy.
Tip for preventing your tripod from blowing over in the wind: hang a weighted item like a small backpack or plastic grocery bag with bottled water or a couple of rocks in it from your tripod. Near the center point if possible. This will keep it more stable in the wind 👍 Congrats on your new YT channel and starting your journey on the road. Thanks for taking us along with you!
You're a natural at this. Great story telling and editing and everything flowed seamlessly. I've been a long time Nikki follower and always enjoyed you there so I was excited to see you branch off with your own set of adventures.
Sarah I have seen you a few times with Nikki this is the first time I seen you by yourself I just now discovered your journal and I love it this is Jim from Missouri
5:17 Best decision ever!!!! Avoid sleeping in the wilderness/remote areas. I've seen experienced travelers who were attacked in the middle of the night (some can't even figure out if was a big animal or what it was as - luckily for them they remained in their van - but got scared af). I don't recommend anyone to do that. It's very risky. Also, if anything happens, never leave your car. Just jump on the driving seat and leave.
Congrats Sarah! Stay single and pet free for a while. Enjoy your adventures without extra responsibilities for now. Adding a pet is when you are ready! Love seeing your adventures. Finn Whittaker is also starting Van life. There are so many other single ladies out there in Van life! Congrats and see the world now while you can. Cant wait to see you out in the world one day! Hugs Lady! Keep searching and growing. Proud of you along with your family members! Stay Safe and free!
Congratulations on the success of your channel!!! Smart decision changing sleeping locations. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, trust your gut. Also, it's good to see more of your personality coming out as your channel progresses and you make more videos and are getting comfortable talking to us via the camera. It's a skill and takes time and work (I'm sure Nikki would agree). God bless and keep you safe on your travels, Sarah. -BK
Great Videos Sarah!! I learn something new every time I watch videos from you or Nikki!! It has helped me so much in my own travels! I live in a Prius! 😊
Oh no! It's never wrong to be safe. Good on you. You'll get familiar with critter noises and feel more at ease. I like it when you do videos with cousin Nikki. Happy trails.🤙
All these years of filling my gas tank and I never thought of using the fuel filler tube (if that's what it is called) to press the button for the type of gas that I wanted.....that's totally genius!
Hi Sarah. Enjoyed watching your adventure. I have watched Nikki from the beginning of her channel and I always looked forward to seeing you there from time to time. You two cousins create wonderful content. Thanks for the videos and safe travels. pm
Your a breath of FRESHAIR Sarah And you know what You said you got freaked out by the different types of sounds you heard Well thats because like you mentioned Your a NEW YORK girl And of course its going to take some time to get used to it Anyway THANKS again for your video SAFE and FUN travels
Balance and agility get better with overall fitness levels. Many of us have gym fitness at best but real life hiking and fitness gets all our little muscle strengthened and we naturally get more agile. Loving your content so far🎉🎉
Good morning Sarah, it was a lot of fun going along with you. Beautiful areas, beautiful scenery. I always watch Nikki and thats where I saw you. I’m a 77 year old grandmother who loves to see new places that all of my friends on here go to. Thanks I sure enjoyed going along… see you next time….🙋🏻♀️🙏🌹💕
Good video Sarah, you are getting so comfortable behind the camera compared to a couple years ago with Nikki, you where pretty shy. I live out in the country with no close by neighbors. The Coyote sound will take a while to get used to, 2 or 3 coyote's can sound like a pack of 20. Probably best to go with another camper next time. I camp a lot myself in the Rocky Mtns AB Canada. You will always hear funny noises in the bush, that's just how it is, the wind does funny things. Your in a vehicle that is locked, so you will be fine. It will just take awhile to get comfortable. Nothing wrong with truck stops if you can sleep through the noise. Good Luck.
You just about have the perfect vehicle to do the adventure in. It has a good amount of room, gets decent fuel economy, is AWD in case you run into some weather, and most importantly it is extremely reliable. I have a 2008 V6 RAV4 getting very close to 200,000 miles and I'm about to take it on a multi-state road trip from NJ and ending in Arkansas before returning home. In all I'm looking at about 5000 miles. I'm considering taking it to Grand Canyon maybe next year and stopping at multiple national parks on the way there and back. Good luck on your adventures.
Hi Sara, you went to Colorado, one of the places I would like to go on vacation myself. That was smart to listen to your gut, If it doesn't seem right, move on!! You never know what could've happened if you stayed?? I still think you should get a dog, a dog will alert you and keep you safe😊🐶 Have you figured out a way to make the Mac & cheese taste better since you don't have a microwave??😅😅 Thank you for sharing, haven't missed one video, until next time, stay safe!! 🥰🙂💜
Hey cousin Sarah. Im. Glad to see your having fun. Don't get any ghosts from Joshua tree. You will learn the coyotes in the woods are safer than the wolves at the rest area. Your doing good videos. You need a dog. My friend is an older lady who lives alone. She has juju a big solid as a rock Rockwieller mix. Juju is a beast. And really protective.
Love seeing you out there on your own doing the nomadic Life Nikki is such an inspiration I love watching the episodes u featured, stay safe wish you the best❤
For someone who has never traveled its very nice to see different parts of a continent one day i might visit im 51 live in the uk i visited france 32 years ago apart from that ive never left enhland
Hey Sarah just a little FYI, your gas cap cover has some metal slotted on it. That actually holds your gas cap so you don't have to let it hang by the plastic strap that will eventually break. Keep the handle in your hand and slid the cap into the slot from the top. STAY SAFE always!
I'm glad to see ya' taking advantage of an opportunity to just get "out there." Youth is a Wonderful Gift & Blessing. Thanks for letting us journey with you for now. I have had dreams of doing this kinda stuff. Working my way towards this. Looks like lots of fun!!! Praying for ya!
Ok. I appreciate both you and Nikki very much. Maybe or not maybe you need a travel 4 legged companion. Not a push just a thought. One place your cousin hasn’t been and I think is afraid of is Alaska. Driving to. Not just flight to and a great cabin with blah blah blah. Anyways. Don’t be scared. Carry a spray. And don’t think of the bad things. Think of the advantages of what your doing. Positive thoughts bring positive results. You’ve got this.
I love your adventure, Sarah. I live in a minivan, and I love the way you share the little details. Always follow your gut. No reason necessary. Enjoy!
I went to Palm Springs last year in January and there was SO MUCH RAIN the first couple of days and then the sun came out...I got amazing photos that 3rd day and it was fun exploring the area, HOWEVER, the whole entire reason I even wanted to go there was to explore the Indian Canyons and walk among those palm trees and water....DERP! I had TOTALLY forgotten and only remembered when it was too late! I guess I have a reason to go back but it was my 1st time "car camping" so there was a lot going on. After that trip I knew I needed a van...and I got one!
There's a free campsite right outside Telluride called Alta Lakes. If the mountain road clears up it offers incredible camping for extended stay (for FREE!!!).
Such fun adventures! Thanks for sharing with us. It's nice to have a mentor and kindred spirit to consult with and visit on occasion. Glad you are branching out on your own. Always follow your gut, safety is #1. Our daughter has a Rav4 and loves to camp too. We will be meeting her at some point out West. Cool to see friends and family to reconnect along the way. Cali has lots of interesting things to see, The sequoias and redwoods are amazing traveling along route 1 on the coast is a bucket list item. If you get the chance in Utah, Zion and Bryce canyon are stunning and have places around to camp.
You are adorable!...I always think it's brave to live on your own. Most people out there don't have bad intentions, but there are some. I hope you will always be safe! Good videos!
Sarah! It's so good to see you have your own channel! I appreciated your Parent Trap comment and Hunger Games. Be safe out there, looking forward to more videos from you!
I'm so glad you are doing videos, they are so funny! I'm patting you on the back also for not falling down on that log. Loved the movie references too.
You're doing great! Your comfort level has come a loooooong way, since the early days of you making special guest appearances on Nikki's vlogs. So shy and quiet back then. Now, you have your own style.
You are so darn cute! I say that in a grandmotherly way (I’m 62 years old). I’m enjoying watching you grow with your channel. Stay safe and enjoy your adventures.
You're always going to hear the sounds at night in nature. You'll become more accustomed to it all no worries. Also the journey from GA to CO and the stuff in NV and with Nikki... seem to be leaving a lot of possible good content on the cutting room floor, just food for thought.
I really admire your strength & courage to do this all on your own. I wish I was brave enough & had the financial means to do this!! Wishing you all of the very best on your journey!!💕💕💕
I'd love a video on the safety/security/trusting gut feelings on what do you look for in a safe place to sleep or stop (even during the day), Pros/Cons on stopping in places with people around or alone? Safety in numbers of other travelers? Tips for someone new and female in van/car life to be safe. Love The idea of keeping the drivers seat open if a quick departure from an area is required. Be safe, trust your gut feeling, its often the right answer. You are awesome. Love your new channel.
This video was SO much fun to make! Any suggestions of places to visit on the West Coast? ⬇⬇⬇
I heard the white salmon river is fun to go white water rafting
@sarahhberkowitz
Mount Shasta!!!
Go to Disneyland then San Diego. If you camp down there are many places to park and camp
I lived in LA for 10 years. You have to check out Sequoia National Park!
Woo! I just love seeing how your adventures progress and how much you're learning! I still remember the first time you lived in the truck with us, what a ride! LOVE YOU!
Such great memories! Wouldn't be here without you! ❤️❤️
You're right this is seriously good... Better pick up your game Delventhal!

Why did you trick her 😂😂😂 when she dunked her head under water ??
Good rule of thumb, trust your gut. If you feel unsafe there, then it’s a good thing you left.

Always happy to get a Sarah update. Way to listen to your gut. Feeling safe is also feeling comfortable. Have fun. Be careful.
Get you a small hatchet? Multi use protection and cut firewood if needed. Essential camp item
Agreed, OC Spray also
Or Bear spray
A guy would over power you with a hatchet, I'd go for the tazer Nikki had.😮
Damn, Berkowitz! The channel content is shaping up great. Nice job. Pretty impressed. No better teach than Nicole.
Excellent video. Very entertaining. I suggest you get a good wide brimmed hat to keep the sun off you face when hiking. Sunburn and windburn out west is hard on the skin. I liked how you cleaned up your nice rav4. Good looking rig.

I love the adventures you have with Nikki! Y'all should do more collaborations in the future. You have made significant progress! Keep up the hard work! Peace and love sent from Texas.
I've been in Nikki's channel for exactly 4 years you had awesome cousin Sarah❤❤😊

A grocery haul nobody asked for... Lol I love your sense of humor!

Saw this tip on another channel. Get a shoe brush. That way you can brush your shoes off and it will help keep your vehicle cleaner.

Hey Sarah, you should put some small fans in your car, it should keep you cool at night; in those hot nights. 😊💗
Yes. I think Walmart or REI has fans that recharge from your car....no batteries and you can attach them to the car hand pulls.
Great job Sarah! I have been following Nikki, and when you started to join her I was smitten with you. Looking forward to more videos.💕💕👍👍
Welcome to my neck of the woods, California. Nice place to visit, but even nicer to leave.
All these years of filling my gas tank and I never thought of using the fuel filler tube (if that's what it is called) to press the button for the type of gas that I wanted.....that's totally genius!
Get yourself a small rechargeable fan for comfort on the hot nights. You're going to need it. You're doing great.
the usb charger one saved my life when i was car camping in joshua tree.. temps were like 100+

I'm glad you followed your gut and left that uncomfortable spot Sarah. This is my 3rd time watching this. Great soundtrack WB.
You just popped up on my feed. Subscribed and excited to see your journey. ❤️

Great Job in editing, it can be a challenge. You are entertaining like your aunt Nikki. Keep growing, I'm watching and subscribed!
A very enjoyable vlog.Thank u for taking us along.
I love your channel and I really love your attitude you are such an inspiration.
You’re doing so good videoing everything and keeping vlogs interesting. Keep it up!!
Wow you are rocking the channel.
