@@sarahhberkowitz It really looks like a town somewhere in Bavaria, but more interesting. Because its built like a collection of Bavarian architecture. Usually in old Bavarian towns you have to walk a little until you see the next "attraction". Here its like one next to another, very pretty!

Went there in early December years ago, barely made it over the pass but it was so worth it. The whole place was covered in snow and decked out in lights for the holidays. Amazing atmosphere. Great snowboarding nearby too.

That waterfall at the end of your hike was amazingly beautiful. It was quite impressive to see you having the energy to swing a tennis racket after doing a six hour hike in 90+ degree heat. It's great that you're taking full advantage of your youth and good health while you have it. I fondly remember those days. I'm so glad that you got to enjoy some quality time with an old friend. The unhappy Superman nutcracker at 1:11 cracks me up! I think your car refrigerator is more practical for your travels than having to constantly change up your ice and will probably keep your food fresher in the long run. Enjoy catching up with your friends!

He said the town was Amazing at Christmas time you will have to see one day!!🎄 Beautiful scenic shot of the lake,trees then the mountains. I have been to Leavenworth many times as I live in Washington State and my favorite hike is behind the town up Icicle Creek Road. The drive up in the mountains near Eight Mile Creek Campground to Stuart Lake Trailhead. Hike up to Colchuck Lake and over Aasgard Pass to the most beautiful place in Washington called "The Enchantments." Wow that waterfall in Montana was worth the hike!!!
Quaint Little town of Leavonworth reminds me of Swedish town of Solvang Ca, that nutcracker museum was pretty cool. Thanks for Sharing... as always happy trails and stay safe.

I love the divine purity of your videos. You should visit the Redwood Trees that are in NorCal closer to Canada's border it's out of this world haha that's on my list once I get my truck built and ready.

Pickleball! Try it! It will be A LOT easier to find games and the community has been super friendly so far. When I get on the road for good next year I’m bringing my gear and making it a point to play in different cities. Can’t wait.

Hi Sarah, I am now 70 and sold my home in Sonoma and drove across the country... I have to come to be a nervous wreck when it comes to driving on the Highways and Interstates. I just drove from Virginia Beach to Spartanburg, South Carolina. I now feel like I am "stuck" here because I am unwilling to drive and don't even know where to go; I thought I would like it here. I wish I were more like you!! :(
Hi lorij9649! The interstate and limited access hi-ways are indeed daunting, especially when in strange environs. Just do what I do; I take state routes and backroads. Most everyone else is in a hurry and I am retired, so have no need to be in a rush!
