There are some drivers who feel that we shouldn't be forced to confirm an order before the order is actually in our hands. Personally I don't care and will do whatever the restaurant wants.
The driver that didn't want to confirm was probably dirty stacking and wanted to obscure that from whoever (mostly the customer) may me be watching the timings & delivery progress.
Uber is okay in my area but I usually keep busy on GH till 8pm then UE kicks in pretty good in the later hours. You got to remember when doing UE you're also doing Postmates
I feel like in California it's more of a hassle to deliver sometimes. More walking and further distance. In my city you just pull up to the adress and only take 15 seconds and leave. You definitely deserve a $20 tip Jom 😊
It's her area in Los Angeles County. It's a lot different than mine about 40 miles south of there in Orange County. In my area I don't have the type of fenced buildings, back houses and apartments that are way off the street like that. It's much easier here and quicker.
I’ve tried a few times in OC it’s true how it’s all just a nice big home easy to locate and much easier than my area. I’m a bit further to commute there but also I didn’t get many orders the time I went haha. Yea kinda getting used to my crazy deliveries but some I agree is just super weird how homes are in my area!

Mondays and Tuesdays are bad in my experience. I also work the same zone as you but i stay mostly to the N and NE area. Most of the time I dont even try to drive those nights.
The employee was kind enough to be polite enough to say to confirm unlike many restaurant owners in the area just literally grabs my phone and touch my phone to do confirm. Those kind of things annoy me sometimes. 😂

I was dd picking up a pizza, then got an add on for another customer. It was a grocery order for 77 items for $7.75 and like 5 miles. That's insane!!!!
I don't think doordash has any idea what you go through delivering, if they saw the places you had to deliver to I'm sure they would compensate you for the extra work. that's crazy some of the stuff that you go through

Hi Jom! I got that same driving test yesterday on doordash. After I confirmed to do it I was more careful and got 💯. But only a few deliveries. It said it wouldn't affect my ratings in any way. We'll see about future trips. I also order drinks sometimes for myself but at dairy queen not boba tea. One more thing I thought it was funny when you said okie dokie. People tip take out orders at cafes when they’re literally like right there not having to come to customers home or anything.
People often makes excuses why they don't want to confirm, because they know we have the control to cancel the orders and steal the food, until another driver shows up on the same order and found out that food is being taken away. I usually call the support to let them know, so they can track who took the food and possibly ban them from ever using the app again. I hate these kind of people who attempt to get away for free food and why risk it over food?
Yeah absolutely agree ! People who try to do these kinda frauds should just be banned forever 😆 and having to go through support is such a pain but it’s necessary to stop other drivers go in and face the same problem.

lol I was thinking too but maybe it’s paranoia on the time she has to walk to her car cause I used to think it works like that. When I stopped delivering and was driving home and was in front of recording for a while I forgot to turn the app off till I came inside my home so the time added up.

So for things like phone it’s based on percentage use for work or for personal if it’s 50% of the time for work , only half of the price of phone can be used to deduct. For home internet, your home needs to be office used for work and same thing how many portion % use of internet is for personal or business but because we are outside driving home internet can not be deducted for uber eats. For example your home is the work you do online business, or office, then in can be. 😀
