Of course not only that led tv have terrible speakers it sounds like shit. Even crt tv sounds better. Led need to step their game up make better speakers the speakers sound like a flip phone speaker

My cousin still has his working at least 10 years. Someone hit it and there's just a vertical red stripe down it which is annoying. His LCD of the same size just completely broke from the same damage.
just found a 50" plasma on the side of the road that some idiot just through out and it was not working. 2 hours later - brand new Samsung Plasma working - great pictures come out of plasmas and that goes for all angle of viewing,
John Hooper that is the max power usage referring to what number? And last time I checked my friends 50” plasma used over 400 watts which is kind of insane.
John Hooper yes I understand that it depends on the colors being output and such but on the back it had the amps and using that and voltage you can determine the wattage. Unfortunately I didn’t have a wattage meter.

Don Nadzieja fastest refresh rate, and at the time the blackest black and most vivid colors available on the market. The absolute best tv for watching movies at night, but for days not the best but still not bad.
There is still Soo much more questions in that like how the microchip works with it and how noise is made and transformed and how the microchip does this with every television around that is on at the same time. It didn't cover specifics as if it was LIKE A SECRET FORMULA that they don't want us to know to keep MANUFACTURING TOP SECRET
How radio is used on plasma, it's like these documentaries are LIMITED and kept TOP SECRET. It doesn't cover the real magic of science in it. It's like they want to teach us by barely giving us any information of it

@@ZigSputnik Ah ok that makes sense, thanks! So does that mean this momentary energy release can be considered the lowest possible latency we can get using plasma tvs? Since we need to wait for this energy release to end, the pixels can't go back to black "instantly".
@@nipun056 The electron fall back time is virtually instantaneous and doesn't contribute to the apparent lag. I would think that any return to black lag will be due to the signal circuitry and not the physics of plasma. But you could look into this. LCD is a lot slower returning to black because it takes time for the crystals to physically rotate.

The best video I found about this topic!
I got my plasma in 2012; it was a 2013 model, the last year LG made plasma tvs. I still enjoy it 😅😅😅
I can’t believe they figured out how to put plasma in a tv just because they wanted to call it a plasma tv. That’s crazy
I love plasma, my favourite type of display
it's alright for the 2000s era but the one I have is one hell of a power hog. not energy efficient at all.
Does this guy really have to yell when he talks?
@imahalo123 a reply. After 6 years. Wow.

Nice! Thank you, helped me with my school presentation!!
These TVs last forever we’ve had ours over 10 years now
Im still using a 50" lg plasma thats about 9 years old now and still prefer it over lcd
My cousin still has his working at least 10 years. Someone hit it and there's just a vertical red stripe down it which is annoying. His LCD of the same size just completely broke from the same damage.
That means you haven't been introduced to old CRT televisions. My grandpa bought his television in 1970 and he is watching football now on it.
We’ve had ours 12 years
in terms of durability
crt>plasma>lcd>oled
Best explanation on this by far. Understanding it at the atomic level really made it click.
It's before anyone used it to watch movies and TV though, it's only 1024x768 for this one.
Downside of plasma TVs was the fact overtime the plasma would become less bright resulting in a very dim picture
I think that's called "Screen Burn" which is also common in OLED screens
@@techcube7291 nooooooooooo
My 65vt60 reached after 9 years 25000 hours and now is so dimm but still work.
@@techcube7291You're confidently incorrect
Finally I find a video explaining it.
Wowww! So much going on in one second for one pixel to show an image❗💯 Amazing
I love my 12 year old 42" and 50" Panasonic plasma tv's.
So.. can you get a tan from watching plasma TV?
No the light filter blocks UV rays.
“1024x768 grid” that is clearly a widescreen TV is it not???
He is not yelling.... Fantastic video. Very easy to understand and to the point.

@Crest - BarcrestPlayers most of these faults are a Verticle scan voltage that has drifted or is faulty. in this case it was Vs too high.
Just curious, how many watts does it use? Should say on the back of it

Fun fact: I watched this on a plasma tv
So you have more plaaaasma than plaaaasma has!
You left out a serious amount of info...
Why ?
“Video card”? You mean a mainboard?
Try watching this amazing 240p content on a massive 4k screen, i dare you.
The best part in this video is ........ PLASMA
This is why these tvs had burn In images
These RVs give quite a bit of heat from the screen..
How hot this Plasma get
why are american documentaries like this...
Beautiful Very nice
This used to be on display
Jesus 1024x768
Compressed audio meets phones internal speaker with compression circuit.. Crappy audio at its finest, good video though.

i dont think that plasma is 1024x768, it looks 16:9, not 4:3
So... Magic.
shatshatington it still didn't explain how the plasma is being told what color to light up and how that works

LED's are plasma spark gap
Im not entirely sure but judging by this narrator I think this TV relies on plasma....
"PLASMA!"
The music tho
Referenence for Colors and Motion still today.

great energy from the speaker. liked the video
That’s what you call over engineered product
3:00. Everything before is useless filler
if the plasma emits light when you stop providing electricity to it, then how do you make it stop emitting light?
When does it say that? ... electricity is the energy source of the light. if there is no electricity, the tv will no produce light.

UV rays
Good or bad for health ?
both. UV rays have enough energy to break chemical bonds. UV helps make vitamin D, but too much can burn skin and cause cancer.
