I am planning on bypassing the compressor. Could I just remove it altogether or the casing is needed to hold the alternator in place?

hi. good job. so, to change the alternator pulley, is it better to remove the air conditioning compressor rather than lower the engine?

sometime i do use long tool that i made, to replace the alternator pulley without make it a big job. remember safety first .
