    I really like how Suzuki delivers all the necessary tech while keeping things simple and traditional. Many people want robust, simple yet safe and modern cars. Many cars are just over designed and over priced.

      You nailed it. For myself ? I really don't like all these new overdisplayed technocratic interiors. Everyone si crazy to have a tablet inside... NO! I am really happy that cars like this one are still produced. Kudos Suzuki, Mazda, Toyota !

      @@JanNoska You re right absolutely, I drove a Peugeot a long time and simply cannot stand their new models regarding their cockpit or looks. They are ergonomic nightmare. I dont want a friggin square steering wheel or 3 screens. Kia, Suzuki, Mazda have kept their mind. No wonder that Suzuki Vitara is best selling car like 5 years in a row in my country among private buyers. Vitara may be rough on the inside but its easy to clean and robust. Its winter and everything gets dirty and dusty really fast.

      @@masafelipe7033 Agree. You should try new VW Golf or Audi A3. Awful touch screen controls/capacitive buttons. I much prefer physical buttons and rotary controls. The Germans have lost the plot when it comes to designing interiors. Gone are the days of simple ergonomic dashboards in German cars. They are obsessed with touch controls and big tablet style screens.

    With the 1.4 hybrid engine i've found there's little point reving past 5k rpm. The engine to me feels like it responds better and feels quicker if you up shift then when making swift progress. Great looking car.

      That tends to be the case in a lot of manual cars. I have a fairly cheap Dacia at the moment but a good little Renault engine, it doesnt like foot to the floor because when you change up there is lag and transmission shunt. Changing up quick without letting revs get up is economical and far more relaxing.

    Really like the new S Cross. The styling is a big improvement on the previous car. I have heard the 1.4 Boosterjet engine is a peach too. Same engine as the Swift Sport. Great job Suzuki.

    Secret of mild hybrid is to use engine breaking as much as possible. Keep the gear on and try charge the battery full while slowing. If the battery is only 2 green bar full then it won’t support too much. You need to achieve full battery then you will see the savings which can be 10-15%! Driver apparently missed this…

      It is nicer and more refined than the Dacia Duster. On the downside it is a little smaller than the Duster and won't have the same ruggedness and off-road capabilities as the Duster.

      @@waduhek2568 Different people have different standards of what is nice to them. I drive a Volvo 240 and that car is what I call nice and comfy to drive. A great winter car as well.

      @@aristotelisentertainment279 No, they're exactly the same cars, just with a different badge. Badge Engineering it is called. Much like Suzuki Swace and the Toyota Corolla Touring Sports. Or the 1st generations of the Ford Galaxy and VW Sharan.

    Hi Joe! Very nice video as always! Have you tested acceleration in Sport mode? I own the previous model with the former BoosterJet engine (140hp) and my best results in 0-100 is 8s!!! Exceptional vehicle!

    Looks good. A bit noisy at speed but that's the same with all Suzukis, in return you get low weight and good fuel economy. Interesting that these Hungary built Suzukis are still using the old steering wheel first seen in the 2010 Swift. The Japan built models (Swift, Jimny) have a nicer wheel that also allow control of the screen in the instrument cluster.

    Good afternoon, I was on the test today and on seltos and suzuki s-cross, and generally got lost. Seltos seemed to me prettier and bigger, inside the trunk is larger. It rides the norm, I drove a Suzuka in a simple configuration, but I wanted it with a leather interior, it looks many times better, and feels cooler. But I drove on the usual one, it seemed quieter in the cabin than the Seltos, and it is faster. At the expense of softness, somehow I didn’t understand, + - the same start-stop on s-cross is not audible at all, on seltos you can hear how it starts, but again, the problem is fuel consumption. This is very important for me, according to the stories in the salons, they have the same consumption + - the same, somehow I can’t believe it, I think based on the reviews of the s-cross, the average consumption is 7 liters. As I understand it on seltoc, the reviews differ, some have 5.6, some have 12-13, I can’t understand. Would be grateful if there is some personal experience !

    I wonder how is the sound insulation when driving 120 km/h or faster? Last generation Vitara and S-Cross had pretty bad sound insulation. Any coment on this one regarding that matter? Thanks!

      Yes, there is wind nose at hiway speeds, but tolerable. A good compromise for every aspect, good value for the buck. Am driving a 2020 mild hybrid.

The dimensions are similar and the interior used a lot of existing Suzuki components to keep the production costs down, but the chassis is new, suspension, bodywork, all has been designed anew. It's a more thorough upgrade then when Audi or VW makes a new generation of one of their cars

      @@krzysztofkwasnicki3188 Right. Most subcompact crossovers come with 3cyls but some do have a choice of 4cyls eg a T-Cross 1.5 or Captur 1.3 TCe.

    Dzięki za kolejną jazdę - pozazdrościć zimy i śniegu. U mnie we wsi tego nie uświadczysz! :) Jak ogólne wrażenia? Lepiej zamówić z manualem czy automatem? Jak się sprawuje 4x4 w zimowych warunkach? Jak zawieszenie? Nie tłucze? Dźwięk silnika bardzo mi się podoba - taki poważny! :)

      Widać, że silnik z roku na rok jest bardziej kastrowany elektronicznie aby spełniać normy emisji spalin UE. Kilka lat temu te silniki z pojemności 1.4 miały 140KM i to auto naprawdę jechało i było nadzwyczaj zrywne. Potem ograniczyli moc do 129KM, a teraz w najnowszych modelach mam wrażenie że auto jeszcze bardziej jest przymulone. 10,5 s do setki? To dość słaby wynik.

      I agree and I think we will see more of this level of new models from Suzuki now that Osamu Suzuki has stepped down and now less involved with final production decisions. He was notorious for not only cost-cutting but watering down the concept car designs before they would go in to production. If any exterior body or interior design could be rounded, softened, or in any other way made to be more bland that is what Osamu would go for. Maruti-Suzuki on the other hand had a little more leeway when it comes do design language and that could be seen with their Ciaz model as well as the new XL7 from which the new S-Cross borrowed heavily in inspiration for the front end design.

      Teraz to Xceed. Cenowo jest nawet ciut tańszy i dodatkowo ma normalny silnik turbo (bez żadnych mild hybryd) i szybki automat. Multimedia też w Kii są lepsze moim zdaniem.

      Tez sie teraz nad tym zastanawiam. Xceed 1.5 160km wersja m + smart + felgi 18 czy scross wersja premium 2wd manual.. Srodek i jakosc wykonania sie mi bardziej podoba w Xceed ale martwe pole, tempomat adaptacyjny i oszczędniejszy silnik przemawiają na korzysc suzuki.

    As someone who drove a 2018 S-cross for 3 years... It's the same car... It's a very very very lazy and cheap facelift, I can even hear the same rattling noises in the video that I had in my car, it's the same dash (except for the nav screen and some small elements), same steering,, same mirrors, same glass, same opening/closing chime, same keyfob even... Except for the engine (the original 1.4 booster jet) the car was horrible in quality and in equipment... And this one looks more of the same just with a little botox injected... Suzuki calling this a redesign, is them laughing in their customers faces... That's a facelift tops and really not a very good one at that...

      I have an older version (2017) of S Cross for 5 years now. I can agree that the interior is not good quality. I can constantly hear some cracking noises. The dashboard plastics is quite flexible and cheap looking. There are a lot of small things that needs an upgrade. For example, if the window is fully closed and you try to close it, the car will not detect that the window is already closed but instead it will activate electromotor and try to close it, additionally flexing the door plastics. On the other hand, I haven't got a mechanical issue for the last 5 years, besides regular services. Thinking about upgrading to this model, but not really sure. I want an upgrade in car, but it looks like the quality stayed the same. Still, it is ~6500EUR cheaper when compared to other cars in the class, ant those have entry level equipment. Have some advice? :)

    U mnie niestety bez 4X4 odpada... zimą całkiem inna jazda X-ceedem jeździłem-bardzo fajne autko dynamiczne i wcale nie takie paliwożerne (bardzo ładne Coupe..podobne do Mesia Gla...)

    Te twoje filmiki są ... BARDZO, BARDZO DOBRE , bo .... pozbawione tych wszystkich idiotycznych gadek + znakomicie (nomen-omen) sfilmowane, czyli właśnie POV + słychać dźwięk samochodu .
    Wszystko to powoduje, że nie będąc w salonie, można sobie z grubsza wyrobić zdanie czy w ogóle ogólnie pasuje nam auto, a subiektywne odczucia przy wyborze auta są (moim zdaniem oczywiście) BARDZO WAŻNE.
    Dziękuję, że chce Ci się w ogóle robić te filmiki.

      premium 1.4 4wd 6mt, przeciętny kierowca bez "nauczenia" się jazdy uzyska w okolicach 6.5-7.0l/100km. Po nauczeniu się samochodu jestem w stanie zejść do 6.2l w cyklu mieszanym, ta sama specyfikacja, model poprzedniej generacji.

      @@boskidiego4999 Dziękuję bardzo za info... noszę się z zamiarem zmiany auta .... zauważyłem że te nowe jednostki 1.4 z miekką hybrydą nie powalają dynamiką ale przy 120-140 silniki nie mają zbyt wysokich obrotów ( ciekawe jak są wyciszone...) W obecnej chwili mam SX 1,6 120 km wolnossaka lecz do tej pory od 10 lat nic się nie dzieje.... jestem również ciekawy czy w tej marce została usunięta wada konstrukcyjna pod tytułem położenie koła kierownicy do jazdy na wprost...( w starych modelach przy wyższych prędkościach lata po drodze jak żaglówka... nie wiem czym to jest spowodowane ... czy dlatego że te auta są lekkie???? jak na swe gabaryty
      Drugim autem które biorę pod uwagę to nowa KIA SPORTAGE 230km HEV oczywiście tylko 4X4 ale wersja BUSINES i parę dodatków to wydatek prawie 190 tys... To już niestety inna półka cenowa...
      Co Pan o tym sądzi... jakie auto byłoby najlepszą alternatywą 4X4

    This is a great car and i see why people buy them, but it’s (in my opinion) such a boring car to drive with an automatic transmission. I’ve been renting one for 2 weeks now, and it’s solid overall, just a bit of a boring driving experience i feel.

    For the sake of a little economy most cars these days come with anemic engines, who are frugal only on paper.

      It's actually much nicer to drove and more frugal at the same time than naturally aspirated 1,6-1,8l engine it replaces.

      Excelente consumo, il motore 1.4 TurboJet che arriva nel Vitara è il migliore nel suo segmento per efficienza.

    Not too keen on the new design - it looks too much like Toyota for my taste. I prefer Suzuki design language.

      Perhaps only the back of the vehicle but the front end is heavily influenced in design from the Maruti-Suzuki designed XL7. Very strong Suzuki design language there when compared to the front of of the XL7

      The older version S-Cross was a close match with Duster but this new S-Cross is significantly better.
