Sean I known how you feel lost both my boys one in October of 2021 his bother in November of 2021. Vet said Maxi died of a bad heart condition and his brother Hershey died of a broken heart...he just missed his brother. I miss them both breaks my heart and I struggle everyday without them.

I think you're right. Most of what you mention sounds obvious. A few things I'm still figouring out. I tried to make a litter box, in a large bathroom where was plenty of space and fresh air. I added daily fresh natural things, grass etc. I thought if he needs it in his old age, he will at least sniff because in general he was curious to try really anything. But this was no success. Probably he understood the idea of the litter box but refused to give it attention, not even sniffed once. He looked insulted. Though I think they must have a kind of litter box, for their health and to not have heartstress all the time waiting and not knowing... What a horror. There's so much to learn and to understand. Thank you for your consideration and help to make their lives more acceptable.
