معذرت کے ساتھ عرض کروں گا کہ نواں شہر کو دھرم پورہ نہیں کہتے تھے اور نہ ہی یہ ہندووؑں کا شہر ہے۔ یہ جدون قبیلے نے 1723 میں آباد کیا اور 1825 تک یہاں جدونوں کا ہی تسلط رہا اس کا نام نواں کلی اور نوخار تھا۔ مانگل کی جنگ کے بعد سکھوں نے یہاں قبضہ کیا اور قلعہ تعمیر کر کے فوجی چھاوؑنی بنائی ۔ اس وقت نواں شہر کو منڈی کا درجہ حاصل ہوا اور ہندو بطور تاجر یہاں تشریف لائے۔ اس کے بعد ناڑے اور مندر تعمیر کیے گئے۔ دھرم پورہ اسے ہندو کہتے ہوں تو الگ بات ہے البتہ یہ نواں شہر ہی تھا اور اس کی زیادہ تر تعمیرات انگریز دور میں کی گئیں۔ وڈیو بہت اچھی ہے اگر الیاسی مسجد اور ایبٹ آباد بورڈ کو بھی شامل کر لیا جاتا تو نواں شہر کی اہمیت کئی گنا بڑھ جاتی
