And while there is some room for him to “mature” as we might say, if he became more bold and fearless, he would be more of a female toad than a male toad, wouldn’t he?? Or rather - to put it a different way - as you say, they each have different roles! Women are more outgoing and fearless, and the men are more retiring and …. Laid back? Calculating?? There we see the personality differences, too! Karashi waits until things swing his way, while Mikan takes a more active approach lolol. He is thinking hard, you can see it in his eyes!
