Mirror edge sealer is always good around the edge on painted side to keep the mirror tip top and safe in the elements for years to come , nice job darynn that scratch technique with the putty knife is a beaut , sure beats making a 2 or 3mm clear template each time , well done

Thanks for the video. Just replaced my Hiace right side mirror glass with your guidance. Brought a glass cutter from Mitre10 and two $5 long mirrors from an opshop. Cut the first one back to front and then got it right with no breakages on the forth go. $20 repair. Cheers :)

The mirror is supposed to be convex type. Not ordinary flat. Convex mirror has wider angle of view

Then you can purchase a curved replacement at 10 times the price 🙄

Many people hate the convex mirrors and change them to flat

I got a question for you, where do you get that big piece of mirror from? I am trying to replace one of my side mirrors glass that measures 8X10 and can't find auto mirror that big

Old comment I know but I got some glass at Home Depot for instance just under 2 bucks and a can of Rustoleom Mirror Effects to spray on the back. So in my case I just cut the shape I need then add the mirror backing, let dry then mount.
