I’d say the most common things clinicians look for are hypotension and vasopressor requirement. It’s generally considered unsafe to feed a patient when they are hypotensive with a mean arterial blood pressure or MAP 0.3-0.5 u/kg/min of norepinephrine/norepinephrine equivalents.
