Michelle Carter was sentenced to two-and-one half years in the Bristol County House of Corrections. She was also put on supervised probation until August 1, 2022.
She needed to be sentenced to the fullest extent of the law. The sentenced she received is a joke and an insult to the surviving family members of the deceased.

He told her he would hate her (another struggling person) if she told anyone about his plans. The right thing would have been for her to leave if she wasn't going to find him help. It doesn't seem she was strong enough to. If he didnt want to go, he should have said no when she said to get back into the truck. Both of them had a lot of problems. It's sad, but I don't think she is a monster....just very damaged.

That's true. I've seen countless teens get sentence to life. Some of them for terrible terrible crimes others getting life for simply stealing and without a weapon. Also correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that if an individual commits a crime while underage, that they can be charged as an adult if they turn of age before being declared guilty? I've also seen judges charge minors as an adult if they are a few months shy of 18.
