I am guessing because it's not just 恩恵 in general but 恩恵 due to コロナ specifically. The その makes it more specific like it usually does. After searching google, I saw その used in the form AとそのB. For example Aとその恩恵, which could mean something like A and A's benefits or A and the benefits associated with A. I think this example shows that the その in その恩恵 is being used to indicate the specific source of the 恩恵.
Is it correct to say 「視聴者の多くが日本語学習者の上で、教師の方にも見ていただいています。」, or 「視聴者の多くが日本語学習者のところが、教師の方にも見ていただいています。」 ? If so, what is the différence between them and 一方 ?
I think the first one is correct, the second one sounds really unnatural and the 『ところが』is just left hanging. 『一方』can be interpreted as "on the other hand", 『その上』can be interpreted as "on top of that". In this sentence, we can't replace 『その上』with 『一方』because there is no 'other hand' here, we're only talking about one thing.

僕ならどちらも使わずに「橋本さんは銀行に勤めていて、歌手としても活動している」って言いますね。
この動画は文法についての勉強なので、省略したのかもしれません。
