I think that Chatsworth is definitely the jewel of my county, such a striking house in such wonderful countryside. We are truly blessed to live in such a great area
Many memories of my childhood thank you. I grew up in Baslow and spent many happy hours in Chatsworth Park and around. We lived in a cottage just across from the main entrance and along from the Wheatsheaf. Our "driveway" was opposite the Cavendish ( called the Peacock Hotel in the 1950s) Very happy years there
Enjoyed your video, we live nearby and can see the Hunting Tower from our dining room window. I'm sure I was once told the Cannons at the front of it came from a ship at the Battle of Trafalgar.
This brought back memories. In the mid 1990s I was at Sheffield Uni and met a girl there. We went to the Wheatsheaf and you walking out was like deja-vu me walking out 25 years ago. We also went up to that Hunting Tower. I remember looking inside through the window and seeing a pool table. There is also a lake up there that feeds the water fountain at Chatsworth. Also, we got VERY frisky in the woods too. I'll leave it to your imagination, but we put a coat down on the leaves and got 'intimate.' Can't believe that was a quarter of a century ago! Scary.
I so enjoy your walks albeit from the comfort of my lounge it’s lovely to see you enjoy the countryside and that you enjoy good food we have a touring caravan my partner is wheelchair bound and I’m not as fit as I was so it’s great to see the places we can’t reach … after watching you visit Grassington we booked in at Knasborough C&Camping club and had a lovely afternoon at Grassington thank you for giving us the opportunity to see more of our beautiful country 😊

Such a relaxing watch. Chatsworth Park looks lovely, not been there ... yet! And good to know how good The Wheatsheaf is for parking and for food. It certainly looked popular which is always a good sign. ATB, Sue.
In Chatsworth, they do car shows there, notably the Jaguar Drivers Club have been there. And the TM Travel bus service goes through Chatsworth, the 218 service does that route.
Lovely part of the country, but not somewhere we have stopped in the van so might have to give that place a try. As for the cannons, I expect you could bag a large amount of venison with one of them, the flesh might be a bit bruised though
What an absolutely cracking video guys…. again. Can I make one little suggestion that Mr S should always listen to Mrs S; I have gained some knowledge and experience in this department and I know my wife is ALWAYS right because she said so??? You both had us in stitches when describing your cakes! I once interrupted my wife whist she was talking and after receiving a tongue lashing and counselling I knew I had made yet another mistake, hahaha Take care looking forwards to the next one.

Thanks Peter! Ooh! Now there’s a debate. A bit of a grey area this one. A lot to do with ‘intent’. We make sure our intent is very clear. We had email confirmation from the pub of our intent to sleep overnight. We had put the silver screens on with the intent of them being on overnight and you can see from the vlog our seats were turned cabwards. We’ve never been ‘knocked on’ in 10 years of Motorhoming, but hopefully our sensible approach will stand us in good stead if ever we do 👍🏻

We love chatsworth we did it before Xmas and got it in snow, we doing nc500 in sept going up from Cornwall which your videos been really helpful, do you have any recommendations for shopover around Liverpool Manchester area we got a roof box so want somewhere out the way that safe for roof box and car, keep up great videos

Hi Stephen, thanks for watching! No, although the French Customs website is very clear in what you can take into France, no-one checked our van. We wouldn’t risk it though and I’m sure you saw my delight after my first French shopping trip with all the lovely French food I bought 🥰
Thanks David! Sorry if I confused you. The £27 is what we would have paid for a pitch on the campsite. It’s free to stay over in the pub car park. We always book a table for tea when we do a pub stopover. Common courtesy. So what we saved in campsite fees went over the bar. Win win 👍🏻

Hi we enjoy learning from Your vlogs, we get our first motorhome later this month and need all the help We can get. Feeling a bit frightened and out of our depth. 😆 couple of questions - where did you get your dog mat you use in cafes/pubs, can you tell me the make and possibly where you got the gadget showing your miles on the front screen and lastly I have hunted all over for the dog leads you have when your pooches are outside and attached to the spinney lead in the ground? A dog bed, squeaky toy and a mat (fleece one side) all for £18 😱 Bargain! Sadly, we’ve had so many people ask about the HUD (heads up display) and the 360 leads, but we can’t help 😢 We bought them both a few years ago from Amazon. The HUD has no markings or labels on it all and I haven’t seen the 360 again since we bought them. Sorry I can’t help with these x

Ha ha Karen! It’s the views we need to earn us the money. Steamy Nipples earned us quite a bit. Over 136k views. One man was quite put out that he’d ‘watched it to the end and nothing happened’. I replied that the title was quite correct - Steam, nipples and a leg over, because we were on a steam train, the nipples on the carriage were in need of greasing and Slaw had a pint of leg over 😜 I’ve got everything crossed for good figures from the Mcloud judgement for the big R 🤞🏻
