You can buy more support gems in act 1 and act 2. Also some in act 3.

You can have any number of support gems towards one skill. Later it’s even needed to be able to do bosses and such

But limited to number of sockets in items. So a normal setup is 1 skill and 5 support gems. But normally very hard to get until end of the campaign , and to get the color that matches your skills are even harder

On the unique you can increase quality. And you can change it sockets and links. And you can corrupt it.

What does corrupting do?

@@KoolBreeze420 corrupting an item can change it. It can also not change. Sometimes it breaks the item .
But a corrupted item cannot be changed.

I only corrupt maps , sometimes I try and fail on gems ;) .
