This is such a wonderful concept! I've always been interested to know about what other people are listening to. Aside from the songs revealing a bit about the person's inner self, it also kinda gives you a background of their interests and the fact that even in a culture that emphasizes on conformity, people are still diverse in their own ways after all.

OMG he was doing an interview in my university! No wonder many people on this video were listening to American music because my university is known for having Japanese students who are best at English!
Which University where you are studying?
I've heard listening to music from another language can help you learn it better, so maybe that's why they're so good!
Thanks for sharing!!! I will be in an exchanging program starting this Sept in Japan, would love to pay a visit😍

i am reminded once again how japan is the world’s 2nd biggest music market. very cool to see this!
I didn’t actually know that lol
@@emperorhideyoshi3223 They actually beat US before and then just stays at second since. Kpop is only at 7 place. 😄
Very true, just a note though, the music market of a country is referring to their consumption of *any* music, not just their country’s music (eg jpop). So you mean the Korean music market is in 7th place, not kpop.
@@colonia04 its korean music market only rank 7, not KPop even KPop very much listener in Japan, they guy mean that music all around the world have listener in Japan that make Japan the second biggest music market for all kind of music including Kpop music

The fact the running girl stopped to mention it and then continued running, bless her heart.
This is such a wonderful concept! I've always been interested to know about what other people are listening to. Aside from the songs revealing a bit about the person's inner self, it also kinda gives you a background of their interests and the fact that even in a culture that emphasizes on conformity, people are still diverse in their own ways after all.

I like how they capture them walking away while the music plays, it gives us some time to think upon how what they are hearing reflects on their vibe/style, like the metal and the punk guy.
This is such a cool, fresh concept it has a special charm to it especially when you pan to them walking away after we got to know what they're listening to, it's actually so interesting and endearing.
Except that it's at least a year old. The panning thing is nothing new either.
@@mikael9325 I still like it very much. :)
I first saw this concept by a youtuber Ty Cullen probably around 10 years ago.
2:30 Nujabes! Spiritual State. That song is so good when Uyama Hiroto comes in with the sax.
Ahh thank you for this. Got a couple of new songs added to the playlist. So many American bands though!
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
thats pretty common . lol -
Pretty much most of them are listening to either J-Pop or K-Pop.
Oh did you add that one guy’s rugby video though
No surprise. English, Japanese, and Korean pop-cultures are the big three mainstream spheres of influence internationally for the past decade at least. I'd be surprised if someone WASN'T listening to any of those three.
This is so fun! It gives a different perspective to each person's personality/tastes.
Why do all of them have such good fashion sense i never see any bad outfits in any Japanese street interviews
Wow when i asked this I didn't realize people were gonna see this comment or reply so thanks for telling me💜

The music is so diverse and I love it. Maybe this is also one of the reasons why Japan is the 2nd largest music market.

@@gurkensohn9401 no need to get upset lol, my point is a lot of the music in California is repetitive mumble rap and other main stream stuff that gets played out after the first day, I listen to foreign music because nothing on the radio has been good since 05, but now I can’t even be different because kpop is now trendy because certain “influences” brought it out and now I have to deal with the younger generation trying to act superior when hey don’t know anyone else besides BTS and bp, even city pop is getting trendy in the us and I’ve been listening to both for years, so now i always switch between random genres from time to time
