Most underrated rock band. I don’t hear them mentioned as often as I expect when reading/listening to all the radio/tv dudes/dudettes and magazine writers. Scorpions, in my opinion, check every box for one of the all-time great hard rock bands.
72 yrs old and still has an awesome vocal range. Just as good as the album from the early 80s. The whole band is kicking major ass in their older age. Instead of retiring and enjoying the money they've made over the yrs, they choose to keep touring and Rocking the World. One of the Greatest Bands to ever plug into an old Marshall Stack or in their case, 50 Marshall Stacks each. Love these guys till I die. Seen them here in Detroit 6 or 7 times over the yrs and they always blew the doors off every other band that they toured with, and that's saying alot, I've seen them open for Van Halen, Whitesnake, Judas Priest, Alice cooper, etc,,, and in every single case, The Scorpions should have been the Headliner.
@john tash I never seen them open for KISS but I would imagine theyd blow the doors off KISS. The Scorpions sounded better live than the what they produced in the Studio, only because it was louder, plus you get all the extras, guitar solos, drum solos, and some extra guitar licks thrown in for good measure. I've only seen them headline once, and all of the other shows, they should have been the main act.
I agree with you 99%. I've seen the Scorpions many times myself. I'm 53. But for you to say the blew the doors off of Priest? I've never seen that! Unless your talking about this generic version of Priest that's going around? But if you're talking about the KK Downing and Glenn Tipton Priest I gotta disagree. Every other band you mentioned I can definitely understand. Because I've seen them all too.

Had the privilege of seeing them in Seattle in 1981. They opened for Uncle Ted, and as good as he was at the time the Scorps absolutely dominated the evening and would have blown ANYBODY away with the energy they brought!
Klaus Meine is nothing short of a fantastic singer that came back from vocal chord surgery and still can give me goosebumps. I've seen them three times and everyone a sold-out show. Rock on! Peace brothers.
Thank god i knew scorpions since i was a little kid, my family is a big fan of scorpions, we listen scorpions everywhere, from slow rock, to hard rock and every stuff from them
I saw them do Blackout decades ago in Germany. Standing up at the front rail and holding on for my life while the wall of lights in front of the stage blasted heat into my face! SO GREAT! I will never forget it!

OMG! Blackout was the first song I heard from Scorpions!My uncle's bought me the cassette for my 10th birthday. Instantly fell in love with this band! Big City nights was epic for it's time, and it still holds up as one of their best. The guitar solos are all top notch, and the iconic signature of the band, next to the vocals, of course. I'd still pay top dollar to see them live. PLEASE COME TO WHITE RIVER AMPHITHEATRE!!!

I was there and youre right their sound was spot on. Every time ive seen the scorps it was never a disappointment. Metallica was tight and aggressive exactly what I expected and wanted. I was not there to see Van Hagar.
