  • Signs that your vaginal discharge may not be normal or what we call physiologic discharge include:
A foul discharge or what we call a malodorous discharge - many times described as a "fishy" odor. This is often a tip off that there could be a condition called: Bacterial Vaginosis.
Sometimes a musty odor, or a curdy discharge women will describe -- it's a cottage cheese like discharge - this can be a tip off that it's a yeast infection. And again, any change in the color, the texture, the amount, the consistency of your discharge may be an indication that you have another, more serious problem going on.
Women certainly can feel more fresh during the day with the use of an odor-blocking wipe, or a feminine wash, or I also encourage women to use a talc-free powder that wicks away moisture. And clothing that wicks away moisture will also help you feel drier and fresher throughout the day.
