Hunter here... To be fair, even if you don't get anything, just being out in nature, listening to all of the sounds you don't normally pay attention to is very kathartic and relaxing. There's something about being one with nature, letting yourself just breathe and take it all in.
IKR? There's like 5 VR fishing games but only one hunting game. I love Virtual Hunter but I wouldn't mind some other takes on the hunting genre in Virtual Reality
That's what I always thought but never really knew. Being still in the wilderness means animals just kind of don't realize you're there if you stay still enough.
Just so you know if you're talking about Hunting in stands/blinds that's not real hunting hunting high fence in a stand the animals are almost guaranteed to come to the feeder
@@RealityRemake I didn't see that anywhere in the videos or reviews. And in the video you see a center-reticle shot irrespective of distance. BTW; in order to adjust the vertical (bullet drop) turret its mandatory to know bullet chronograph data, BC, altitude, humidity, temperature; and for long distance coriolis effect.
@@BourbonPrepper Interesting. In Virtual Hunter I was just using the rangefinder and adjusting the scope for the range. Maybe I should have included that in the video. Do other hunting games have this level of detail? Beyond adjusting for range I've never heard of doing this in any game at all.
@RealityRemake I wish we could show pictures in TH-cam. Let's take a Mildot scope as an example. You look through the scope and you see a cross in the middle and then 5 dots in each direction. As a bullet drops in flight, it drops in whatever measurement you use, but that converts to milliradians. The dots. So let's say I'm looking and shooting 223 75 grain BTHP at 1,300' altitude on a 75° day at 60% relative humidity. My bullet might cross the first dot at 320 yards, second dot at 460 yards, third dot at 580 yards, and so on. If I don't want to touch the turret; I know where my bullet point of impact is based on the mildots. And in the USAF they gave us a mildot master. I can range my target by the width of the target's shoulders, use my dots as my holdover, and take my shot. Hunters do the same. We don't fiddle with turrets. We use reticle holds. In fact with hunting scopes we zero our turrets at 100, put turret caps on the turrets to protect them, and don't touch the turrets again until the next time we check our 100 yard zero.
Do you know what game in Quest 3 is available for “hunting kidnappers”? I mean, police special operations have snippers to neutralize delinquents who retain people in stores or banks, so they shut him from special locations in the street or other buildings. The most snipper games is rol based games in war scenarios or the worst in surreal zombies scenarios. So if you know about police snipper games in VR, appreciate some video review of those VR games.
Don't forget getting up at 4am to go turkey hunting and getting nothing by dark

Now this I've done before and it's definitely very relaxing.
There needs to be more hunting games like this, like theHunter: Call of the Wild VR.

i hunt in 3 different places for hogs and deer irl and it’s just a waiting game honestly

I'm going to need a VR-set.
:) Definitely worth it for this game
there are a bunch of other good vr games and features that make a vr headset worth it!
It’s hard to hunt but I have hunted since I was 5

I don't see you finding your ranges, doping your scope or shooting at the correct reticle mark. So it's not a real hunt simulator?
There's definitely bullet drop. I am not a very good VR hunter.

how do you keep the sights so still
There's a button that reduces weapon sway from hand movement. The trigger of your offhand on the rifle if I remember correctly.
