I usually listen on podbean, so rarely get to comment. Jyst want to say, your content is the best football content out there....and that includes watching the bloody game!
The bike story about annoying the local Butcher, we used to do the same down our local park where we used to wind up the local Park Keeper who we nicknamed Hitler (A Park Keeper ... I'm showing my age) and as for Anthony Gordon falling off his bike, he clearly did it on purpose for a free kick
This tournament really seems to put the focus on the managers abit more, looking that the talent floor seems to have been raised. Swiss, Austria, Romania, Germany, and Slovakia have been interesting watches… and a Germany Austria final seems pretty possible… Imagine
I have been listening since the polemic over Tim Lovejoy after the Chelsea Barca clash and subsequently went back as far as the Steve McLaren Time Machine escapades. It's been a while since I've tuned in but lovely to see you boys. Viva la Ramble and up the Kevin from Fife !
Under Southgate there is no way for England. Just remember the 2018 second round route and Euro 2020 second route on how bad Southgate deal with it but strangely The Fa think otherwise. 😂
Italian here. I can 100% confirm no one here feels good about this team. I feel like getting to play against CH is a curse too, since we are "forced" to win and personally I think this is one of the worst Italian teams I have ever seen (I was born in 1996)
And before Ralf Rangnick's Austria, there will be Switzerland or Italy - I bet on Switzerland, they are analysing opponents like a swiss clock this year. Oh, and let's not forget Slowakia, which did play a good tournament so far.
So if England win the tournament there will be the excuse "England has a lucky draw". Other excuses: "The finalists didn't turn up that day" "So and so (example Mbappe) was injured, it was a weakened team england beat" "It was a lucky penalty" (think Kane v Denmark euro 2021) "Its the worst german team ever" "England were playing at home" The excuses go on and on. Thats because english fans deep down dont really believe in England. Its the other team must have been awful. How could England possibly have won?! Ahh.....its because
@@shiseiomukae6608 Going into the tournament we would all expect to beat a side like Switzerland. Look at the players Southgate has at his disposal, we should be beating them. But we probably won’t because he’s clueless.
The thing is for me...if you want to play Saka then play Foden or Palmer in the 10. Someone similar to Odegard to play those passes inside the full back. Bellingham gets on the end of things.
I just checked - Susan Boyle video singing Wild Horses on TH-cam has 22 million views. I reckon 14 million of those are from Rooney? Maybe 1 million on the low end.
Won't happen became of Southgates ineptitude. He will waste another golden opportunity. He is the worst thing ever to happen yo English football. Euros 96, 20 and 24 he will have cost us.
This Andy loves an excuse, the players are looking awful because they are being used incorrectly, IF Bellingham and Kane aren’t fit then play foden and Watkins in their position, that’s what a squad is for, he doesn’t “have” to play them, you’re telling me if Southgate said Kane and Bellingham are at 50% so I have to rest them vs Slovenia when we’re already through then people would have kicked off?! Open your eyes, if they weren’t fit they would not have played when we were already through. Excuses.
Trippier has been our worst player by far. He can't cross, can't pass, can't shoot, can't take a corner and has been poor defending. He would have been the same if right back, Shouldn't have been in the squad. We had better players in form. Southgate should have taken Mitchell or Colwill as a left back

This and The Kick Off are my favorites shows. Great work.
"are we watching this on double speed?" 🤣🤣🤣👏🏼
One of the best football podcast. All the best to you guys!
Can England take their chance? No. No they can't. Gareth Handbrake.

Was not expecting susanalbumparty to get a mention

We should know by now that Safegate will pick exactly the same team, except for Mainoo, same formation, same tactics.
if he wants to be super crazy he could sub Palmer 5 minutes earlier!
Love your pocast gents! 👏💚🙏⚽

33:20 Xhaka is left footed, that’s poor from you Luke.

What has happened to Chiesa? He looks average now...... Has Juventus ruined him like they did with Bernadeschi?
What is CH?
As an Italian, are you also going to criticise England for being in the easy side of the draw.
There’s absolutely no excuse for not reaching the final now. Southgate is the luckiest man in the world.
I'll give you one excuse: Ralf Rangnick's Austria.

Germany haven’t been *that* good, battering Scotland doesn’t mean much.
England
Once again the fates try to hand you the cup

You are blind , on one thing : " poor defending" ? He has been rock solid
No apostrophe in draws
The drew changes nothing, Southgate is in charge.
