Thank you so much mate, i've recently got a 2010 Focus Titanium and between this and the washer jets upgrade I've got a couple of fun weekend projects planned!
The footwell bulb holders are there because the titanium and above have footwell lights. It's the same on the Mk4 Mondeo as I had a Titanium and upgraded my bulbs and put my old bulbs in my dads Zetec. I now have a Focus CC2 and going to do this upgrade tomorrow. I also want to change the dash and IC bulbs from green to a ice or baby blue to match the car
Excellent video, really helpful, not sure how you got the fitting out with one hand, it’s awkward sometimes with two hands, glad you said there’s a certain way of putting them in, might of changed a few bulbs needlessly without knowing that, so much brighter now 👍
Just got mine today,...replaced and put led bulbs, Osram ones....and , wow, really bright and defo an upgeade requirement!. Thanks. Just a small question, i seem to see a slight flicker in the light, is that what you got too, or is normal ?
I get spoilt in my Mk2 ghia estate, I have map lights up front, lights above the rear passengers and another set above the cargo area as well as footwell lights up front, all standard fit.
@@GentilsGarage I bet! Mine hasn't got those but it warns up to temp ever so quickly and the heater is very good. It has heated front windscreen which is very effective and sarltisfying watching all the ice in winter just fall away to water in seconds, while others are scraping and spraying with deicer!! 😁⚠️ Other nice features it has is cruise control and auto wipers and lights, auto dimming rear view mirror and the upgrade Sony 6cd audio system, unfortunately it doesn't have bluetooth, which would have been useful our fiesta from 2006 had that. I can honestly say it's been one of our most reliable and fairly economical to run cars we've ever had. Very nice to drive and comfortable, I like the useful extra cargo space the estate has.
Hi, i dont suppose you know the part number on that interior light? I have purchased 8A6A-13K767-BB34X1 from a mk7 fiesta and ford catalogue states it fits my focus mk2.5 but it has an extra wire. Little confused as i thought it would be plug and play like your one. Love the vids
@UCxwONEvZvvrhrQZ4JnwEpDw looks like that extra wire is for the ambience lights, which mine don’t have, and are permanently on. It’s those two little squares

How are the footwell lights turned on. I have them and I see they are conected but the lights wont turn on. Do I need like to pute a fuse on the fusebox or something?
Don’t need extra fuse as it rubs from the same as the interior light. If you put LEDs in, remove the bulbs, turn them around and put them back in. Also, can you see any cables running from the holders?

Well, judging by many mk2 forum posts, they were never fitted. It could well be that previous owners took them out, but sounds too common for these cars not having them fitted. Who knows.
That is a project in the pipeline. Even with the light upgrade, which has improved interior visibility, it is still poor compared to the mk3. Only noticed after the clocks went back and I get home to take stuff from the rear seat and I can’t see anything as there is no proper lighting where I park. Watch this space.
Yep, they work both ways and I think it doesn’t work well. In the dark, especially with the factory dark windows in my car, I can’t see anything when reversing at night. Also, being in the lower bumper corner, it is less visible to other drivers too. Just like the key operated bonnet latch, they removed those feature when developing the mk3, which I think it’s a good thing.
Some people did put another light on the headlining, wired to the interior light. The Focus Mk3 has a second light, located at the back which is great.
I've fitted the interior light today with the same bulbs as you have. I'm noticing the middle light still has a slight glow when the car is locked did you notice this ?
