Waiting for the day Sofirn and Wurkkos put booster drivers in their stuff for constant lumen and long runtimes. The HS41 runs only 11h on 150 Lumen according to its specs which is very short for a 21700 5000mAh battery and half compared to an Armytek Wizard C2 Maxx. If Emisar can put booster drivers in their flashies for $ 12 they can do it too.
Nice beamshots though I like its not too floody, would be perfect for the trail if it had a longer runtime on 150 Lumen and an additional step on 70 Lumen or so.

Good point mate. I have always liked the Armytek and Nitecore stuff but the prices creep up all the time. The trhrow on this is decent for a TIR. you get a quite defined central section to the beam and it travels far. has been good for hiking in the mud so far. I should have mentioned it but forgot, the cell they give you is a flat top 5000mah.

Is that a flat top cell?🤔

Got the Sofirn sc18 plus wurkkos TS25 and i am very impressed. For the price they are outstanding. only 12 usd and 24 usd respectively with batteries included.

Sofirn and Wurkkos are constantly releasing lights that dont cost a lot but deliver on fun. It sometimes shows the big expensive makers that you can pay a third or a quarter the price and still get something you can enjoy and love using.

@@TrailTrek We will make more cost-effective flashlights, good quality and low price, which is also our goal, and we will work hard

Would prefer to have a secondary red mode here and maybe a mix of leds. SFT + SST
As you mention the gimbal, maybe you can do a video on your filming equipment.

if there was a mix it would be really nice but i think x4 sst20 setup is fine for this price level. The TIR seems to also give a large central throw section which is different from something like the olight with its very uniform diffuse TIR. I have been doing more tests here and am having issues with usb clearance but I will cover that in my review.
I was going to do a chest rig action cam to film a night out watching what I do and I could talk over the top and just have that for those interested but I never really got any feedback to want that so didn't do it. I will admit im no expert cinematographer mind :-)

Good day TrailTrek, can you please advise how you switch this lamp to the red light mode? Thank you!

Hello. Do you have any thoughts on the fact that zeroair reviewed this light and found it had only 3300 lumens at start-up, but he tested it with the sofirn battery, which has a max continuous drain of 10A and given that the light on turbo draws close to 14.1 Amps, do you think putting in a high drain battery will give it a chance to reach that 4000 lumens mark? Thank you.

How does the throw compare to the SP 40 Richy? I'm still pretty happy with that tbh, but the extra power and USBC would be nice I suppose...

And the moonlight mode too, serious moonlight! 😅

Its a strange one. When I do a side by side with something like the olight perun 2 and examine the photos I can see that the TIR setup here is allowing a decent bit of throw but only in a central area then what's left goes out the sides. so you have a larege central area which will travel on turbo.

      1 lumen finally!

@@TrailTrek travel how far, though? I know you're very familiar with the sp40, I'm not expecting you to test it specially for me, just thought you might have an opinion?

Ok I've been out about 5 times so far and this is what i think. side by side on the Olight perun and PL47 from fireflies it beats them on distance. what they seem to do is concentrate quite a bit of lumens into the middle so for a TIR you get a decent bit of throw here at the slight expense of overall diffuse beam. So in regards the question of SP40 throw and this. on the front of the box for the HS41 is says 325m but we both know these figures never seem to match reality. but on paper compared to the XLP version not the new sp40 with the TIR and the Samsung emitter inside then this HS41 is better. Also its ipx8 instead of ipx7 and bigger battery etc. so in all ways its better BUT its only better because its almost 4 times more lumens and TIR (although sp40 is now available in TIR version I know that now). I hope im not waffling and being helpful here.

Just got a slew of Sofrin headlights with batteries to check out.
This HS41 in 5000k, seems to be my favorite kelvin temperature light. I like the TIR quad set up on this. The sst20’s are a perfect match for a 21700 I think. Speaking of length of use versus high output.
Too many OEMs have a myopic fixation on high luminosity at the cost of duration at a reasonably high lumen level. IMHO, of course. 😁
