Another lovely podcast, Anna, and I love the homestead yarn. The colours are fabulous and just the thing to brighten the dark autumnal days here in the UK.
Your spreadsheet method of tackling large projects is a great inspiration! Thank you! The colors in the Homestead yarn are lovely; would make a great hat or scarf size shawl.
Another relaxing evening here on the homestead with Anna! I laugh every time you talk about weaving in ends. I am at the opposite end of that street, I cannot leave an end free, I just must do them as I go. How wonderful that neither way is wrong and we can both love our yarn time. Enjoy your vacation. Fall is absolutely the best time for travel. The weather is usually gentle and the kids are in school!
It's been an a beautiful trip, and this morning we head to Ghost Ranch - I'm so excited! It's so great that there's something for everyone in knitting, I absolutely love blocking shawls, and of course puzzling out what to do with any beautiful yarn. :)
Lol, organizing things is like fun and games for me, but that's probably something to do with my math background. Everyone finds an approach that works for them, the main thing is how to enjoy knitting as much as possible. I can't wait to see this blanket completed either! I have no idea how I'm going to spread it out for blocking! :D
I love the way you plan all your knitting projects! So organized, thank you for sharing love to listen to your TH-cam while I knit here at my homestead ❤
Delightful to spend the evening with you and my knitting. Have a wonderful vacation! I really love the idea of rotating through some charity and some give-back prizes. Looking forward to seeing some other finishes out of your “ends” basket before the end of the year too!
Having a great time in NM - El Malpais National Monument is amazing, I had no idea these type of old eruption fields were here in NM. I'm excited to get the the end of my old finishes, and keep feeding the basket with new ones! :)
I've been putting my all into my On the Spice Market this past week (while keeping my blanket caught up.) So I think I'll have some great progress to show next time! :)
You’re a very generous person. The homestead yarn is interesting. Loved all your finished projects. Your motor cycle sweater is looking great too - soon be a finished object I’m sure, along with the huge shawl/blanket. 🤩
I am a huge Harry Potter fan and the Nymphadora Tonks color way from homestead is gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and all the beautiful yarn in your stash :)
I think everyone here would love the homestead yarn. Curious that I just finished a marathon rewatch of the Harry Potter movies while knitting. I need to find a new series to binge watch as I'm not finished my project yet lol.
I've been trying to convince my husband to watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy - some day I'll get him to watch it with me! I took my teams to see them in the theater back in the day.
Homestead… Hi Anna, Just discovered your podcast. Enjoyed it very much. & am now a subscriber. The Stephen West blanket is quite an undertaking !! You’re doing an awesome job 🌟 Denise
Love seeing all the projects. Wish I'd got into doing spreadsheets, but computers were only just starting when I was at school and we did not learn about them, shame as I loved maths! Thanks from my homestead in California. Jane
I was very fortunate, my dad introduced me to computers and programming back in the 70s! Ended up combining math and computers for my career (and I so love maths!). :D
@@theyarnrandomizer I left school in 1969 during my last term I asked about a career in computers and I was told only boys got to use computers. Those were the days. Lol
@@epiphany8276 oh the stories I could tell, I was delayed 9 years going to college because of the terrible treatment from teacher in the vo-tech building (first girl to take a class there.) He told me every day how much I didn’t belong there and how women didn’t belong in technical fields. The bad old days!
That homestead yarn would be lovely in my home up here in MI. Back to where it was dyed. ha! Anna, I sure enjoy your episodes. You are so informative and nice to listen to. My randomizing is usually with my many WIPS. I put slips of paper in a jar with the names of current objects and draw from there when I can't decide which one to knit on! Things go pretty much out of whack from now until Christmas but will get back to normal after that. Keep up these inspiring videos! I'll be watching!
I love that idea for picking a wip to focus on! I've been thinking about Christmas knits too and trying to decide how much I want to do, but fortunately all my Emotional Support Chickens I'm going to send out have already come home to roost, lol.
I'd love to own a cozy homestead. I'd have some chickens, a dog, and a cat, and a veggie garden, fruit trees, and lots of sweet smelling flowers. It's a dream I know, but no harm in dreaming...

The homestead yarn is beautiful. Thanks for sharing all your wonderful projects and enjoy your vacation.
Enjoy your vacation Anna! The colours in the Homestead yarn are lovely.
Homestead pink and green is gorgeous!
I enjoyed watching your vlog at your homestead today. Thanks for sharing your makings.😊

I think I remember my dad planting some Homestead tomatoes when I was a kid. He always planted several different varieties of tomatoes every year.
Thank you for your very enjoyable podcasts, and your yarn generosity. Would love to have some homestead yarn.
So much progress, and so much excitement for your knitting! Lovely to see you as always.
I think I'm kind of a balance between product and process knitter, love making and finishing them off. (Except weaving in perhaps, lol!)
I just love how organized you are.

Thank you! It's the mathematician in me, lol. :)
That Homestead is very nice. Love your shawl in the opening segment.
It's really lovely and straightforward, surprised more haven't used the pattern. :)
The homestead yarn has so many interesting colors!
I think it would make an amazing hat! (or anything really!)

Wow you have made some great progress on the blanket and your husbands sweater...can't wait to see both of them finished...I love the homestead yarn

Homestead! ❤

My plan is to drive some of my bigger project to completion over vacation, we'll see how far I get! :)
Your FO's are so lovely. I particularly like the one skin Little Lace Scarf. I think the homestead yarn will make up into something really nice.
Thank you! That Little Lace Scarf was just such a fun knit!
I am a huge Harry Potter fan and the Nymphadora Tonks color way from homestead is gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and all the beautiful yarn in your stash :)
That dyer had some great Harry Potter inspired colorways, glad I'm able to pass this one along! :)
Homestead is very pretty.

Glad you found me! I'm keeping at my blanket every day on vacation, lol. It nearly merits its own travel bag! :)
Ooo the homestead yarn would make a beautiful one skein shawl or one of the little small neck scarf or head scarf
Definitely!
That homestead would work up nicely with some spincycle yarn I have, perhaps in a nice shawl pattern. Always enjoying my knitting.
Oh, that would be interesting to see it combined with another yarn!

I'm watching this a month late, but homestead is really pretty! ;)
It's too bad she isn't dying yarn any more, she did some lovely colorways.
Homestead!!!
