Agree 1000% I am not so familiar with Roto’s covers and lately they all seem to end with “trax” or are just 3 letters which can get confusing. Then 900 Global gives us a 1-100 number at the end of their cover to tell us the “cover strength” or friction response. which I find helpful. Speaking of, the Global line is looking pretty empty right now. I bet they’re doing alright just selling both Zens for awhile.
Roto covers: XtremeTrax is very similar to Storm's NeX, so big strong cover. MicroTrax is very close to Storm's NRG, so a step down from NeX, but still very strong. eTrax is very similar to Storm's R2S/R3S, it's hard to tell sometimes. It's stronger than R2S, but it's not quite R3S strong. Then VTC is like Storm's Reactor, but a little stronger.
I love my dark code! and I love my astro but rarely am able to use it. I have never been so excited for a new release as I am the infinite physix. The OG phsyix was a little before my time (of getting back into bowling) I opted for the rst x1 instead of $300 for a NIB physix…and I also love the x1. The infinite looks to me like if the rst x1 and astro had a baby. I would love to see a comparison to the x1 and IP. But if it doesn’t happen, oh well, I’ll have both in a few short weeks. Thank you for everything you and Angel do. I have learned so much from your videos.
She really throws that proton so sos good and the Nova, but I like the pink and blue proton. The Infiniti to you is like the proton Luke and Angel. The Infinite seems it’s going to be THAT ball when proton can not. Wow awesome video and thanks.
I like the video segment where you rotate between several balls on the same line to show how they react. In this video you only rolled on the sport shot pattern?
I have one of these coming. I am excited. I had an astro and it was fun to throw but too over/under for my game at the time. Also it cracked RIP. I still think it was one of my favorite balls, but I think this will do me a little better.
I guess it’s the illusion of the Nova to the infinite because it seems that Angel throws the Nova with more speed and her release is just bread and butter it’s great. Maybe I should slow my speed down (lefty) from 15.2-15.8 IDK. I figured my speed was just perfect because I still get my hand up the ball and timing Has been best of all this year since I’ve changed several things. But Angel make it look so smooth and easy as in repetitive over an over. She is good. Not taking anything from you Mr.Luke, my bowling has gotten better since day one finding You & Angel’s videos. Thank you
Kind of, the Infinite being stronger will get traction earlier, and when a ball hits friction, it will begin to slow down. Because the Infinite gets more traction, it will slow down more and faster than the Nova.
Did not like the Dark Code after surface adjustments or taking it down then polish just doesn't fit my game. i love 14lb balls speed like 14.5 to 15.2. Loved my Physix and looking for something and i may get the infintite physix because it may pick up earlier and finish
Yes and no. I'm comparing it to the altered in a video here in the next couple days and I cover that. Shiny Altered to shiny Dark is a bigger gap than 4000 Infinite is to 4000 Dark, so while the Infinite is sharpER than the Dark, it's still not going to be Altered sharp, plus it's a totally different shape. Altered is really hook/set, more of a strong and slightly forward arc, Infinite is really round and continuous, so the only thing it's really like the Altered on is strength

Oh yeah, we go every year. The Infinite would probably be fine, I think Casey Murphy uses one occasionally. Virtually everything looks good at Enterprise, Sunshine is always rough.

Luke! This is no time for caution. I always feel like the Codes are slower than they should be down lane with that ID. Must be the massive diff I guess.
Just the overall strength of that core is a lot. Low RG, huge diff, huge int diff, they really need a lot more oil to be effective than people realize.
Luke you show the code black but wanted to ask you because your input is huge, the code black vs. UC2 just throwing a year old ball to you on the difference. I would imagine the code black has a more rounded core, but man that UC2 goes long but the back end makes up as it hits dry? Thank you

You mentioned the Dark Code being earlier and smoother than the Infinite, from the video it also looks like the Infinite is more continuous than the Dark Code, from the super cut the Dark Code looks a little more forward. Would you agree with that or is that just a visual thing based on how much slower the Dark Code is?
Think it's a visual thing, the Dark is very continuous, even a bit moreso than the Infinite. The Infinite is just faster so as long as I don't dump it, it's going to charge harder due to the higher friction response. The Dark continues to continue, so the more time it has to pick up, the more continuous it is.

I have a gem, and a hustle USA. Looking to start my first league, what would be a good step down from the Gem? Looking at Nova, Dark code, Zen, Zen Soul, Dark road, or the infinite physics. I know they are vastly different but since its only 3 games on house shot hat would be a good 2nd or 3rd game ball if the Gem dies on me? Thank man!

Quite different balls, the X2 has a lot weaker/cleaner cover, pretty similar to the Astro PhysiX cover, and a fair amount higher RG core despite still being asymmetric. Good compliments, but the X2 is a solid step down, good compliment, not competition

I agree. They could’ve done something much cooler with the colors here. Go like pink, red, and blue or something. Maybe even throw a green in there instead to make it pop. Still looks like it rolls great, but kind of boring colors.
@@BKFS-ls9by yeah i would've preferred a stronger set of contrasting colours, it's useful for validating my approximate revs while i'm still learning how to get a ball to rev correctly. my proton is perfect for it. my wolverine is useless. which results in my wolverine getting bright yellow electrical tape stuck to it for practise
@@LukeRosdahl surely it's code for "we couldn't figure it out so we'll let the bowlers do it" is it at least pleasant? i think storm needs to move out of the confectionery aisle and pursue scents outside of food. plenty of woods and flowers, seabreeze, etc to use thematically in bowling balls. or just ditched the sugar aisle and switched to savoury treats.
Yeah it's really good. It both smells like some kind of fruit and some kind of cookie, like mango ginger snap or something, it's different but it smells good. It's not overwhelmingly strong either, really nice balance, I like it.

You are in KS, do you make it over to bowl the Ozark tournament? I’m curious how the Infinite would look at Sunshine and Enterprise.

You mean Dark Code? Dark Code is a lot stronger, UC2 is pretty sharp on friction, but it needs it to move.

Infinite PhysiX would be a good step down or you could go with a Zen or Zen Soul too, little more than a step down but I think they'd work just fine.
