So do I have to remove the engine to remove the clutch? If not how do I get the chain off ?
There's a master link in chain comes off, don't lose them, !
You do not have to remove the engine, just the clutch!
How do the Hilliard and Max Torque compare? Do your prefer the one over the other? Is either of them more durable than the other?
For the Phat Moto bike 80cc after the one complaint on you tube of the keyway shearing off the Hilliard centrifugal clutch and becoming a disaster. I had to put my money on the Max torque clutch advised by a upset Hilliard clutch user. My Max Torque centrifugal clutch has been working excellent now for quite some time. In this business, Hillard Clutches if you don't address problems it will hurt you online. With the one TH-cam complaint about the Hilliard clutch keyway sharing off that was enough for me. I was sold to use the Max Torque clutch. Hilliard clutches response when the customer told them the keyway shared off on their new Hilliard clutch. Hilliards clutches response was that's what it's supposed to do?!?!?! (Wrong Not Me) I want something to last forever if possible. Do the job right the first time!!!
Do you just tell them it's for a phatmoto, or you tell them 79cc motor? To get right one?
I have this same clutch. Used it for 15 miles and now the bushing keeps binding up whenever I idle. Its been oiled but I'm at a loss as to how it already wore out. Now it only starts and stays running if I pedal start it and it sounds absolutely horrible.
@@mitchellfultzable Hilliard wants to see a 6 to 1 gear ratio with tires at 14” or less in height. I am sure you do not have that ratio!
Sand the shoes and inside the drum with 320 grit sandpaper and clean it with wd40.
This is only a temporary solution and you will be doing it a lot!
@@TheGrayGoatGarage its the clutch that came with my phatmoto. Not sure what the ratio is
@@TheGrayGoatGaragehey there. Where can i get a 420 rear sprocket sold steel with a ID of 1-3/8-1-1/2. I want to drill my own holes for my old school split rim
whats the best clutch for a 65 rear sprock n beans
There are too many variables to know what clutch is best for you. Tire height, chain size, vehicle weight, and engine mods all play into the equation
Email that info to help@ombwarehouse.com and I will do my best to help you
that is so wrong first of all it should be grease not oil
Grease will not get absorbed into the bronze bushing and is not recommend for any bronze bushing clutch
