My Texas Heeler is also 12 years old (Riggs) and he just suddenly got so old almost overnight. Developed a lazy eye and has a lot of gray around his muzzle. I know they say dogs are like their owners but this is too on point for my liking.
One small thing that’s interesting to see over your channels progression is your reloads. Your AR reloads used to be, respectfully, long enough to add an extra ad spot on your vides. Now, they’re buttery

RF Engineer here: The XTS2500 and its XTS5000 "bigger sibling" are the best bang for the buck radio out there. I push quality surplus LMR radios over anything else. Its a piece of kit not an afterthought - treat it as such! I am glad you showed that portion of your loadout.
I lost my red heeler mix suddenly from some spontaneous internal bleeding last year. I miss him every day; he had a similar personality and was my adventure buddy. The only solace in how he went was that he was feeling great once day and gone the next.

A good dog is muy importante! I have my 12 year old boxer and she’s the absolute best companion! You can’t ever disregard the joy and love that comes from a great dog! She’s getting up there in years and it’s going to be devastating!
When you feel like you are ready consider searching up your local Shepard rescue and volunteering to foster a dog in need. Most rescues cover the food and vet bills while you foster, and you would be helping to keep a good boy or girl out of a shelter. It might make the home feel a little closer to the same.
My boy Rango turned 9 this year. I've always loved dogs, but never knew I could love a dog so much as he's my first dog on my own. They just get sweeter with age and you just understand each other so well with time. Don't worry Brock, she'll live forever, that's what I tell Rango anyway. Hey Brass (and Nova!), I've got an old dog too. Gnarly arthritis, among other things. CBD has done wonders for him. One eye dropper in the morning. Lasts almost 24 hours. No mood changes. Much love!

I’d recommend giving her that, Taurine, Fish oil and Cosequin, which is for joints and hips. These things have kept my 14 year old girl full of energy and able to still make it about 5 miles on the trails at a time before a nice long rest. Before I started her on this regiment, she would limp on her right hind leg almost every day. I also highly recommend acquiring a tactical papoose to carry the big girl in when she gets tired. Hey brass facts I’m sure you have heard about them, but you might want to try nova out on the farmers dog, I’ve heard pretty good things about it especially where older dogs are concerned, I heard that food is good enough that older dogs that go on it are out living most dogs that have other food diets, and with her being 12 years old, it may not hurt to consider putting her on it. You never know you might get another 4 or 5 years of getting to have her by placing her on it 🤷🏽♂️

If you want to get a Motorola XTS radio today I'd recommend the 5000 over the 2500. They just made way more of them so getting legit parts (especially batteries) for them is way easier. They also use the universal encryption module so they are much easier to set up for hardware encryption. They're also just generally way easier to work on/reconfigure/fix yourself, but you pay for that with more size and weight.

One of my favorite items was my brothers marine "day"pack(usually can cram a solid weeks worth of shit into it). Sure its shitty digi, but ive taken that thing on everything mountain hunt, every camping trip, use it daily in the trades (so yeah she gets abused daily) for the last 15years and she just about broken in. Only thing fraying is the main pocket vent stitching which is an easy fix. Unfortunately the interior silicone shit is flaking hard but still works.
@Brass Facts, if you like the the CAT WB, you should try the CAT Alleycat series of silencers. They are the MIL/LE versions of the civilian silencers. They are slightly newer designs than the civilian models with some decent upgrades to performance. I specifically recommend the Alleycat 556 and you HAVE to try the Alleycat 36 for 9mm sub guns. It's the most amazing 9mm silencer I've ever used. I have both of them. I think I live pretty close to you, so lemme know if you wanna try them out

One of my favorite items was my brothers marine "day"pack(usually can cram a solid weeks worth of shit into it). Sure its shitty digi, but ive taken that thing on everything mountain hunt, every camping trip, use it daily in the trades (so yeah she gets abused daily) for the last 15years and she just about broken in. Only thing fraying is the main pocket vent stitching which is an easy fix. Unfortunately the interior silicone shit is flaking hard but still works.
@Brass Facts, if you like the the CAT WB, you should try the CAT Alleycat series of silencers. They are the MIL/LE versions of the civilian silencers. They are slightly newer designs than the civilian models with some decent upgrades to performance. I specifically recommend the Alleycat 556 and you HAVE to try the Alleycat 36 for 9mm sub guns. It's the most amazing 9mm silencer I've ever used. I have both of them. I think I live pretty close to you, so lemme know if you wanna try them out

Wearing a 43x while climbing. Damn. I'm impressed. I pretty much gave up on carrying while doing any kind of gym activity.
i take it off before climbing, or leave it off body in the actual gym. Otherwise it'd probably break a rib or two on the falls
