I'm believe I got scammed by Timeshare Liquidators LLC. here's what's been going on . So while i was in las Vegas february 2015 myself and girl got invited to see a Vacation club presentation by Timeshare liquidators in exchange for A restaurant gift card valued at $100 and 2 free tv game show tickets. We accepted the offer because, why the hell not why not get a really nice dinner. so we went to the presentation they had us spin a slot machine and they said we won a return trip to the las vegas strip and we got excited. then we sat down and listened to the presentation. I told them I was saving to buy a house and wasn't really sure if i wanted to put out extra money for a vacation membership. the salesman comes but with what appeared to be an amazing deal $5000 vacation club 20,000 point platinum membership at the cost of $1500 down and $150 a month until paid off. me and my wife thought hell yeah thats a great deal because we really like to vacation. I work as a law enforcement officer and she's a nurse so the $150 a month is completely doable and we love to vacation just because of the stress levels of our jobs. then the salesman said we are also going to throw in a 7 night cruise to the caribbean and we were like SOLD . we read the contract agreed and signed on the dotted line. well here it is almost june 2015 and we still have not received either vacation that was promised and just yesterday 4 month after i got my registration information to my RCI platinum membership and its so not what they told me it was. so far none of the available vacations are available during the summer most are on the off season over a year and a half from now and a 5 day vacation to a local location to me is averaging between 18,000 - 32,000 points so im only able to get with my points a very cheap hotel room. so I'm very disappointed i could have taken that $1500 down and bought a trip to cancun. I would have been very pleased if what was offered is evident but it's not. they gave half truths to some and straight up lied to the rest. I CAN HONESTLY SAY I PERSONALLY WOULD NOT HAVE MADE THIS PURCHASE IF I KNEW WHAT I KNOW NOW!!!!!
My husband and I also went to the TLC presentation in Las Vegas. After many hours of high pressure salesmen swarming us, we broke down and signed a ton of papers. After getting back to our hotel room, we started doing a bit of research. We wanted to back out that very night. We noticed in very fine print at the bottom of the contract that we had signed that we have 5 days to cancel. We sent a letter of cancellation, certified mail, return receipt requested. We still went through the wringer with this company, even after our formal cancellation letter. Harassing calls at all hours. But anyway, our credit card company returned our money. I’m so glad we noticed that cancellation clause.

I just got suckered into buying a 40,000 point package for $8,000 with $850 annual fees. I knew timeshares were a bad idea, but got suckered anyway since they made me feel that I was getting a special deal on a liquidated timeshare at a steal of a price. I bought in, but was aware that any high pressure sales contract has a rescission period. Thankfully, Nevada law has instituted a rescission period on timeshare resales in the last year or so, which gave us 5 days to cancel. This wasn't the case for many unfortunate people who bought in 2013 and before, when all sales were final.The sales manager had the ba11$ to tell me not to think about the timeshare much right after I bought it, just wait and enjoy the benefits when they arrive. Glad I found this video. Would have cancelled anyway, but now I could be more sure about it. Thanks for taking the time and posting this Brandon. You may have gotten screwed over, but you have probably helped several like me avoid this trap. A word of advice to anyone thinking of just stopping their annual payments. The sales guy told me that if I wanted to no longer own this timeshare, I could just walk away and stop making payments. What he didn't mention (speaking of half truths), is that I legally would still be responsible for paying the timeshare. A collection agency would come after me and destroy my pristine credit. The timeshare would be liquidated and they would resell my resold timeshare to another sucker like me. Once you buy it, you cant get rid of it. If you want to buy a resale timeshare, go on ebay and buy one for $1. Sellers will pay the closing costs (upto $1k) just to get rid of it. Then you will be on the hook for the $500 to $1000 a year fees.

great vid.. I purchased a tlc package in Sept. 2014 and have yet taking a luxurious vacation like they promised. I have made my monthly payments, maintenance, and service payments and have yet to receive my 20k points.. they told me I can borrow points from 2016 which will only be 12k points which will get you nothing.. it's a shame that tax payers can get screwed in situations like this.. I will most definitely help out in a class suit to get these bastards shut down
Literally 100 % exactly what u said happened to me.. bogus 100 dining credit bogus free spins. I'm sure bogus week long cruise and what's terrible is there were like 3 other random couples that bought when we did so I hope they figure it out too.. thank u again for sharing this info I'm sending my cancel letter first thing 2maro.. thankfully I found this video within my 5 day grace period

I had the same experience. Going to Vegas. Staying at the Plaza hotel. Being talked into going into the presentation. Not wanting but falling into all the false promises.
the restaurant card. The cruises that never were given. Anyways, I have regretted this more than ever because now I'm paying for maintenance fee of a resort that I have not been too. the 20000 points that doesn't promise an all inclusive stay. I'm paying monthly payments for what? I haven't even been on a vacation. and I've been a member since September 2014.

Hello Brother, thanks for your video! I also live in WA and like you signed up with them at the Plaza but did it in 2016! I have several times tried to schedule a vacation and run into the same issues as you either. They are too expensive and the points don’t do anything because you don’t have enough or they don’t have anything available when you want to go. I’m a schoolteacher, so yes, I have a similar problem as people with children! Just wondering if anything has happened with them because I recently got threatening calls again because my credit card changed and they couldn’t automatically charge it. Everybody should steer clear of this company and drop them as soon as possible. I just don’t know how to get rid of them.have you heard anymore on them?
I fought them for about a year and they finally gave up. I sent letters and called them multiple times. They hated me.

These people are scammers! We tried to cancel 8 or 9 days later and they refused! We told them we could not afford the hidden costs. They said they did not care! I will call this woman!

@@live42Day Ok... this happened to my husband and I ... we got married on july 4 2018 and 2 months later they called and said we won a vacation through our visit at "Pawn Stars". So we were under the assumption that we "WON" the 4 day 3 night vacation at the Plaza Hotel. Long story short, we went on June 5th 2019 and went to the presentation, and some moron with a wig and the gift of gab swindled us into this vacation membership. After giving us $300 in what might as well of been monopoly promotional gambling vouchers, a trip to Hawaii...and 5 BONUS vacations.... my husband gave them $2000 in cash. The very same night I googled TLC Resorts and started reading reviews and was instantly sick to my stomach. I right then wrote a letter of cancellation, called the moron with the wig who of course did not respond but that next morning we marched right back into that same room and demanded our money be refunded.... that Nevada state law requires a 5 day refund policy ( which by the way they never once mentioned during this scam that we had the right to change our minds) Then they wanted to cut our deal in half and when my husband said no we want our $ back now... they then said that the $ will have to be mailed to us within 7 days. That was going to become a scene and I think they knew it because they whisked us to the back, gave us our cash back in full and basically escorted us out the backdoor as to not make it a scene in front of the other potential victims. We were just lucky that we got a gut feeling about this shit and I am so sorry that you got stuck. This company is nothing but a fraud and the wig wearing moron is lining his pockets with innocent peoples hard earned money. Kristin Cy I haven't made a payment in about 2 years. They tried to send me to collections for the membership but I fought it and the collection agency decided not to collect for TLC Resort. However they have put a maintenance fee on my credit report. There's an active criminal investigation going on against TLC Resort so I'm waiting to hear back

I just stopped payment. the sent me to collections and I wrote the collection company explaining that what was happening was illegal. the collection company dropped the tlc account. tlc would call me and my fiance multiple times a day and even threatened to have us arrested. they are bullies . but they have stopped trying to collect. there was no property or service traded do they can't force collection

I'm thinking of cancelling my auto pay and if that leads to bad credit, I don't care. We had the same results, couldn't get a vacation when and where we wanted to. don't do it..... all lies. we have been trying to use our points for 2 years now and on top of the cost, maintenance fees and TLC fees you also have to pay fees to book. My husband and I were staying at the 4 Queens and this fast talking guy walks up with this sale pitch I will give you $300.00 dollars playing card to use at any casino you want a $100 food card and a free 3 day 2 night hotel stay just do this tour it's a 90 minute tour but I need $40 to secure your spot. My husband heard $300 and was like ok I told him something was fishy anyways we went I took my husband's ATM card from him soon as we got there they needed to see it he said he did have one they told us to have a seat meanwhile 30 minutes go by I ask for his $40 dollars back they tried to brush me off but I stood my grounds I got very loud and let all the poor people they almost slammed to get their money and run all seven couples came out we got our money only one elderly couple gave in to their bullsh##......

Had a very similar experience pretty sure that it was the same gangsters working out of - The grand view resorts Las Vegas, just last week January 2017, except they were selling 'real estate ' you can't lose I was told. They didn't work of points though and Jeff our agent was quick to point out the failings of the points system, anyway we didn't buy it all sounded to good with high pressure sales, just no. We got our free show tickets noticed our free gambling vouchers were out of date and didn't get to use our buffet voucher, we paid a 50dollar deposit which we got back so we were just down vacation time... 4.5 hrs and got free show tickets; feel for you tough and hope there is some way out of it

Yeah you have 5 day from the purchase date to cancel just go back to the plaza to talk with the manger or send in a letter stating that you want to cancel address should be online under the rci guidlines

Watch out for Diamond resorts too! Just as evil! Check Yelp, You Tube, Google....Do NOT buy! Also these things are almost free on the secondary market
So How is your case going?I am not really endorsing TLC resorts but I am a member and I am somewhat happy with mine so far based on what I paid and what I expect from it. It's the RCI membership I am happy with. The TLC part is just points. If you were told you could get a week in most places for 10k in points that is not true unless you book them real close to the time you use them which is not that easy. I have been a member of RCI longer than TLC. The RCI web site is a little difficult to understand but you can get some good deals, and some not so good ones. The one thing I learned is that you have to be pretty dang flexible and book early for what you want to do.The Restaurant.com card is disappointing but it can be used. Again it just takes planning. I'll bet those go unused in the vast majority of cases.I have found that you can usually find Vegas open on short notice, but you cant find anything in Washington except Chelan in the winter.Feel free to get a hold of me if you can through messaging. I don't know how to do it.You might want to try "timeshareexitteam"

My whole issue is that the sales people at tlc lied through their teeth. if they would have been honest and said exactly what it is, i would have said thank you but no. my case is at the end of the month. the problem im having is tlc is being very elusive. i have not been able to serve them yet and have paid for a company to track them and serve them but still waiting. I'm guessing they are well practiced in the art of evasion. ill keep everyone posted

Yes you have up to 5 Days to get that letter mailed. Make sure you send it certified return receipt

I purchased my property from TSL in Las Vegas years ago for $4000. I use the snot out of it, and I love it. I have never been to my home resort, but I have been SEVERAL other places. You have to be flexible and creative, but you can make it work. Additionally, there are often last minute deals and sales through RCI. I stayed in a one bedroom in Pinetop, AZ for a week in late May for $168.00 and no points on one of the RCI sales. But, I spent a lot of time studying RCI before I took a vacation.

Welcome to our world of almost 3 yrs!!!! We paid a couple thousand dollars more! We have NEVER been able to use it. I have given them more then 7 mos to find us a place and we have yet to use what we pay for each month. We too have gone online to hotel.com and booked a room much cheaper in less notice. Everything that has been said regarding TLC/RCI is True. Any legal action taken against this company....WE ARE SO IN!

Wow I am shocked me and my husband bought at TLC and this is our fourth Vacation .. I am in Orlando at the airport typing this message.. While we vacationed in Orlando we went to two presentations and nobody could beat what they gave us at TLC ...so they gave us our gifts and rushed us out... I truly feel like this has been a blessing to us so I dont understand your experience ... We have gone to Mexico (playa deal Carmen) French Lick /Vegas/ and Orlanda. 😕

I will. I waa almost scammed by rci earlier this month (aug. 2015). Long story short, I thought I was making a payment for like $219. They took out $1000 on my vacation! I was pissed! They are definitely fraudulent.

These people are scammers we got the same shitty giftcard and I’m glad I didn’t sign up for the timeshare , the couple at the table next to us had a rude timeshare employee who literally said “thank you for wasting my effin time!” Because they didn’t wanna sign up. We even heard another silly comment from one of their employees bragging how he has more money than god. I just wanted to get the heck outta there. We were being pressured by two people to sign up and I kept telling them no over and over. Worst experience ever.
Nice to know we're not alone in this. Same story as Brandon's, just a month previous. Tried to use TLC for a trip to Disneyworld this summer - no availability....Their high-pressure techniques with empty promises are ridiculous. My wife and I feel so stupid and gullible; I know we should know better, but we got suckered in by these weasels. We're stopping payment on the auto withdrawels, but I would love to get back what we've already paid....Will be talking to a lawyer very soon....I like the idea of a class action suit...There has to be hundreds of us, if not thousands.

I was just contacted by the TLC resorts company. I notified them that I will be filling a lawsuit against them next week if they do not come to an agreement. They have told me to take down my video. I will not take down what I believe to be true. It's my right as an American to rate any company. I have been wronged they lied and are not trust worthy.
Brandon Cornell I think this company is a scam to now. I got my package back in April 2015 in vegas. I tried to cancel with thin 3 days of getting it. I even reported it to my bank and had them to talk to them. Guess what tlc won.
Here we have a law enforcement officer, and a nurse getting scammed by scum of the earth in the biggest fraud ever. I hope and pray for justice, may their backs be broken and the people responsible live in misery till the day of their death or they repent for this horrible injustice.

Hi Brandon, I recently came back from Vegas and picked up one of these TLC Resort memberships. My 'great deal' was for a 10K points membership with a $4K balance, and a $399 MF. One difference is that I have a login to the www.advantageprogram.net site and not an RCI login account.
I'm doing some more research regarding what is available when booking to see if my results are the same as yours. I wonder if that is due to a difference in 10K vs 20K packages. If I get some crap results, I'd be interested in your findings as it wouldn't have been what I was sold. Not even close.
wetwilly58 I'm assuming that the RCI information arrived 4 months later. Is that correct? If so, that's a long time. On the Advantageprogram.net site, it's really just a booking site and there's no reference to RCI points. Flight costs are pretty comparable to those on kayak, etc. Not looking good.

Just an update to everyone. as of today I'm preparing to file a lawsuit against TLC resorts tomorrow. I have tried over and over to meet on common ground with this company. I will just have to put it into the court's hands.
I went a 6 weeks ago to tbis with a friend they told me that we both have to sign a paper for him to sell it to my friend I wasn't told anything else also told him we are not married come to find out after they been calling you for days that they put we're married on the paperwork I can prove I'm legally not married I don't know what to do that's why I had to do the same with a lawsuit

I had the same experience. Going to Vegas. Staying at the Plaza hotel. Being talked into going into the presentation. Not wanting but falling into all the false promises.
the restaurant card. The cruises that never were given. Anyways, I have regretted this more than ever because now I'm paying for maintenance fee of a resort that I have not been too. the 20000 points that doesn't promise an all inclusive stay. I'm paying monthly payments for what? I haven't even been on a vacation. and I've been a member since September 2014.
how I wish I could relive that day and had told them to f*** Off.
