I just bought the Kbox4 Active. There is definitely a learning curve but it is insane. I love it. Its nice to add this to my regular weight training for some variety.
I've been using mine consistently for over a year and it really does make you a lot stronger. You may not see massive increases in the amount of weight you can lift on traditional machines or barbells, but you can tell that you are just way stronger over all on all kinds of movements. Would highly reccomend that you add this to your routine, even if you go to a commercial gym. When people tell me they have no room for a home gym I really do wish I was rich cause I'd just buy them a kbox.
I bought this during the covid gym panic and honestly this one piece of equipment probably has you covered for 70% of the exercises you would do at a commercial gym.Yiur really only limited by yiur imagination.Add a foldable bench and a pair of adjustable dumbells and you basically have a whole gym in your apartment. Its super expensive but it's a great piece of equipment.
There is one at my local gym and it is awesome for squats. In particular since I have a bad knee and can’t take heavy loads at full flexion, this machine has been very helpful. I want one myself
I see you putting together a Coop flywheel power rack. Top, bottom, back, left and right. With adjustable pulleys on the sides to have funtional trainer capabilities.
Nice review as always Coop. I just bought a Rogue butcher sled from a guy on CL who swears by this thing. Says he uses it for everything and is selling off all his other equipment. Looks well built and hard as hell. Little bit too pricey and "new age" for my taste though. Keep up the good work bro!
Simple and looks very effective...Something you can take with you to the trailer or cottage for a workout... Imagine adding a generator to the flywheel and charge a battery bank so you can charge your phone! That would be great knowing your workout charged your phone or other electronic items. I may just build my own in my shop😁
I appreciate this review! Read some studies, bought my own for my home gym. I just don’t believe in home gyms anymore and I love squaring love leg day (2-3x a week). Likewise I want what will replicate what I can perform in a gym. I’m ready to get this going when I move in my own apartment next week!
Great review, Coop! Having been a S&C coach for almost 30 years, it's great to see some of our tools of the trade be available in the garage gym space. This is the one tool I still covet for my garage gym but can't decide between a horizontal or vertical force vector setup. I'd love to dialogue with you a bit in the future about some ideas. Do you a good email I can reach you with?
I have two buldging disk in lower back and a bad knee with arthritis. I dont do barbell squats anymore, been doing land mine belt squats and they are ok. Was thinking about getting Squat max belt squat machine. Or pr rack 4000 with squat belt attachment to replace prx wall squat. But now that I see this it looks like I can build my legs with it pretty safetly??
@Garage Gym Reviews Pulling the trigger on this one and some kabuki merch. Coop thanks for all the great reviews love this channel as a fellow garage gym enthusiast. what do you do for a living? prior to youtube and review success ...
Coop, is it possible to build muscle on this? I ask because the Nordictrack magnetic resistance flywheel inertial training has a similar concept, but in a marketing launch video Nordictrack mentioned that it was only effective at toning and not building muscle.
Keep the stache, change is always good. Thanks for the video it was... odd/different/a good thing. At 7:02 of the video were those urethane bumper plates over your left shoulder? if so, can you tell me which brand were they and your thoughts on the plates?
Wicked!!! I'm sure that I'm not the only one who spotted those in your "coolest fitness equipment" video. I'm quite certain that the AB urethane bumpers are the same as Rogue's, at least they check out that way when comparing specs, etc. However, Rogue's warranty is only one year compared to 5 years for AB; that's a little extra piece of mind from my perspective. Also, Sorinex were selling they're black "Bosco: urethane bumpers with a LIFETIME warranty just a few weeks ago, but the site no longer states this anymore. They're made in North America, but the price is outrageous...
im not a fan of flywheel training, but if you wanna tracking in a flywheel, they have a tracking app ( counting a number of force you product ) in per rep. so you can track your progress much more easily
I don't even see that. This thing looks dangerous because of the violent force it yanks down on you with. A good belt squat is smooth. This thing looks like someone hooked you to a truck and hit the accelerator when you reach the end of it's ROM.
I wish I would have seen this video before loading up my garage with $25k+ worth of gym equipment...plus I could have saved a ton of space also had I condensed a few machines and bought this instead.
Sold my VersaPulley MV2 and acquired the Sorinex Rack Attached** Exxentric kPulley2™ Flywheel. (** for Power Racks with 1" holes.) Sorinex Rack Attached Exxentric kPulley2™video - th-cam.com/video/vdwinGoUIP8/w-d-xo.html Looks like I'll be selling my Sorinex/Exxentric kPulley2™ unit... and getting in line for the new Exxentric kPulleyGo!
I disagree on the endless amount of inertia idea. It's limited by how fast you can pull it. I highly doubt a barbell cannot create more resistance than a flywheel
This is way too expensive and unrealistic for anyone to buy. You’re better off buying a fully equipped cable machine than spending 2500 on this. This thing should be at most 600 dollars.
I'd go selling these door to door if I could get them to give me 50% off. I would have pulled the trigger long ago if I could get the best model for 2k.... unfortunately 4k (for the set up I want) is just too much money to justify it....
Yes it's not necessary. It looks like a gimmicky POS. I have to yank super hard to get it to do anything and when it reaches the end of it's ROM it yanks you down violently. See the squat and deadlift movements shown which when done properly have defined starting and ending points in the movement. It's a very expensive thing that looks like it's more likely to harm than help. Stick to barbells folks. Wait. I do see a benefit. It teaches bad form.
This is what an uninformed commenter looks like. What a meat head mentality. Don't be like this kids... Some of the best speed trainers in the world are getting amazing results with the kbox.
@@jowen7706 actually this is a comment from a seasoned lifter. When I see seriously strong people using this I will consider buying it. Watching form from 6 minutes on shows why it's junk. Rows, OHP squats and deadlifts look nothing like what this does. Let's do a rep and get violently yanked back down. Brilliant! And what the hell is a speed trainer? Someone who's clueless on how to teach people how to get stronger so they use gimmicky stuff to hide the lack of knowledge? This thing would look perfect next to the Walker Texas Ranger total gym.
honestly it looks awkward to use, not one move looked stable at all. and i get that stability is a product of the core working, and all that crap, but it doesnt look even fun to workout with. and i get the "unlimited" ammount of resistance is more then a barbell but i dont know many people squatting over 800 pounds anyway. im gonna have to say no to this, its awkward, weird, and just all around not something i see many people wanting to use. also its a no from me on the mustache. way to thin and short. mustaches need to be commanding not just a strip of hairs on the upper lip you missed while shaving
Appreciate your opinions Chris. Unfortunately, video and writing can only do so much, whereas trying the product really helps. Hopefully, more gyms get them so you can give one a shot. On the mustache, I've been growing it for a bit over a week and half. It will fill out... I hope 😃

You can’t demonstrate that you’re stronger, you just know you are? Got it.
There is one at my local gym and it is awesome for squats. In particular since I have a bad knee and can’t take heavy loads at full flexion, this machine has been very helpful.
I want one myself
I did squats on this with my physio therapist, incredibly hard! Love it!
how is the relation of inertia to weight in you opinion. I mean how much inertia is like doing a 315lb squat?
So it's a big yoyo am i right
😲 I think you're on to something
Great idea, but I'll wait for a price reduction.
Gerald Gibbs. So... a Titan version?
Facebook marketplace used boom!
The cleanest mustache and review ever.
Thanks brother!
Will this replace my rhino belt squay?

What do you think about the Exerfly Portable??
Simple and looks very effective...Something you can take with you to the trailer or cottage for a workout...
Imagine adding a generator to the flywheel and charge a battery bank so you can charge your phone! That would be great knowing your workout charged your phone or other electronic items.
I may just build my own in my shop😁
I will buy it than!
Do you still use yours? @Coop
I appreciate this review! Read some studies, bought my own for my home gym. I just don’t believe in home gyms anymore and I love squaring love leg day (2-3x a week). rhino, squat max md or this flywheel for belt squats and I guess other exercises
Really good review. Do you still use the machine consistently?
Hello mate! one question, you would prefer the exxentric brand belt or with a regular weighted belt would be okey? thanks!
Will this replace my rhino for belt squats? I ha e a bad k ee with some artehitis do to sports.
Very cool! That said, I'm soooo glad I bagged an original VersaPulley (with platform) for $500.00
For the price i ll buy a functional trainer anyday😁 by far more versatile and cool looking 😎
I've been wanting a functional trainer lately as well!
So it has a resistance kindda like the c2 rower

Whatever you don’t get the rep belt squat it’s total garbage.
@Garage Gym Reviews Pulling the trigger on this one and some kabuki merch. Coop thanks for all the great reviews love this channel as a fellow garage gym enthusiast. what do you do for a living? prior to youtube and review success ...
So it's an upright rower?
No, much different.
One of the local gyms recently got one
Video quality is legit! Green screen background? Looks sharp and clean 💪🏽
Nope, just improved lighting. Glad you like it!
What determines adding flywheels to the Kbox? phil
This episode of Better call Saul is great
Coop, I have decided to pull the trigger and get one of these. How does this work for belt squats? Is it worth also purchasing the Squat Max MD?
Did you end up buying it? If so, how do you like it?
I have tje same question? I have the rhino stand alone belt squat. So iam wondering if the kbox withh replace rhino?
There is a flywheel system wich isn't expensive and also is vertical and horizontal. Basically all in one and affortable!
What about versa pulley producers ? It can be for squats and other moves.
Hoping to review one in the future for comparison
Coop, is it possible to build muscle on this? I ask because the Nordictrack magnetic resistance flywheel inertial training has a similar concept, but in a marketing launch video Nordictrack mentioned that it was only effective at toning and not building muscle.
toning does not even exist
Actually Coop, it is the centripital force that causes the resistance. I built many atomic bombs you know!
Kim, I always appreciate your input. Thank you for the guidance.
Well I've built a bunch of decks and I disagree
And you're one hell of a golfer to boot.
Keep the stache, change is always good. Thanks for the video it was... odd/different/a good thing. At 7:02 of the video were those urethane bumper plates over your left shoulder? if so, can you tell me which brand were they and your thoughts on the plates?
Thank you! Yep, those are American Barbell Urethane Plates. Review is in the hopper!
Wicked!!! I'm sure that I'm not the only one who spotted those in your "coolest fitness equipment" video. Anyone know where to get a DIY vid for one of these?
How did no one give Coop props for the Gucci Mane reference?
а почему на эксцентрике два конца шнура?
Looks cool and the physics behind it is also very cool but man it’s pretty pricey.
Looks like an awesome piece of equipment, but couldn’t justify spending twice as much on this then I did on my power rack.
Yeah, I definitely understand. Overtime, as adoption increases, they'll lower in price.
6 years later and it is still expensive af.@@GarageGymReviews
Training with barbells is necessary so that you can track and maintain consistent progressive overload.
im not a fan of flywheel training, but if you wanna tracking in a flywheel, they have a tracking app ( counting a number of force you product ) in per rep. so you can track your progress much more easily
It Coop, it looked like you were gonna puke on that last squat! 😂
Can you tellme the thickness of each disc ? To build my own ?
th-cam.com/video/om5VSJdQ0Gc/w-d-xo.html probably to late but here you go.
Can you do a review of different deadlift bars??
Good idea!
Mustache crew checking in.
Cool video! Weird, but cool.
Thanks Jeff!
Is it Movember already!?
The mo is shaved unfortunately.
You can attatch a propeller to it, move faster, and you've got yourself a homemade airplane. NO more Flight tickets!!!
Good thinking!
Why does your new camera setup look like you're filming in front of a green screen?
Changed up some of the lighting. What do you think of it? Good, bad, indifferent?
New lighting looks fine, just looks like your body is highlighted differently than the background in some shots. Not a bad thing though.
Yeah, I need to play with it some more. Appreciate the input!
i can see it as a belt squat subsitute but I don't think i would get it for anything else
I don't even see that. This thing looks dangerous because of the violent force it yanks down on you with. A good belt squat is smooth. This thing looks like someone hooked you to a truck and hit the accelerator when you reach the end of it's ROM.
and how do you progressive overload?
You push harder
I wish I would have seen this video before loading up my garage with $25k+ worth of gym equipment...plus I could have saved a ton of space also had I condensed a few machines and bought this instead.
No, I can't get into the mustache. I feel like I've been transported to TV show from 1981.
Haha that's what I'm going for!
supposedly the only thing Traoré uses in his training
Damn! With that mustache you look like you could be Trevor Philips's long lost son from GTA 5!
🤣
Lol when the ad for this video was your Prx video
I wonder how this affects joint health vs traditional weights. I’m 48 and the body is starting to break down.
I would think this is great for the older lifter/athlete as well as a younger athlete interested in gaining strength
Sweet stache Coop
Thanks Baron!
Check out the Strexbox.. it's half the price
Can you load it progressively?
Yes, you can add flywheels over time.
That’s a lot of money 💴 more than I thought that it would be
Yeah, it's definitely up there.

Crazy expensive
Mustache or beard, one is necessary to maximize gains.
Flywheel training is the only true alternative to free weights.
It's definitely intriguing!
You can build this yourself
I love unnecessary things
Same here!
Space training.
$1800 too expensive
lose the stash!
meant to say mustache
I actually secured it then attached to a pully on the floor.. then to a belt and I do free weight squats with it
Cool concept but I can’t take it seriously at that price.

Ok, buddy. I think I trust Mike Young more than you.... sorry.
You guys don’t know shit. The fly wheel is used for developing explosive power. Specifically vertical jumping
I know more about this flywheel than I should and vertical jumping is only part of the equation for this machine.
That is just silly to be.
Hard af for him to get to the point. Listening to 10 min of bs to get 30 seconds of actual useful info. 😒😒
Ill buy 2 rogue racks for the price of this shit. Sheep are for shearing
